ReportDOI
Wettability and imbibition: microscopic distribution of wetting and its consequences at the core and field scales
TL;DR: A database of more than 150 different crude oil samples has been established to facilitate examination of the relationships between crude oil chemical and physical properties and their influence on reservoir wetting.
Journal ArticleDOI
Determination of s(iv) in particulate matter
TL;DR: In this article, the Schiff reaction with pararosaniline was used to extract sulfur (IV) from particulate matter with a formaldehyde based solution containing a chelating agent for the dissolution of insoluble sulfites.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effects of separation potential, hydrostatic pressure and auxiliary electroosmotic pumping on a suppressed conductometric capillary electrophoresis separation system
TL;DR: A systematic study of the effects of variations in these parameters upon practical ionic separations, especially as applied to a suppressed conductometric capillary electrophoretic separation system (SuCCESS), finding that under conditions that are held constant during a run, auxiliary electroosmotic pumping generally produces the best results.
Journal ArticleDOI
Capillary scale liquid core waveguide based fluorescence detectors for liquid chromatography and flow analysis
Guanqun Song,Ignacio Villanueva-Fierro,Shin Ichi Ohira,Santosh K. Mishra,Howard Bailiff,Charles R. Savage,Purnendu K. Dasgupta +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, a liquid core waveguide (LCW)-based fluorescence detector design is described for capillary systems, where a Teflon AF coated fused silica capillary serves as the LCW.
Journal ArticleDOI
Continuous on-line feedback based flow titrations. Complexometric titrations of calcium and magnesium.
TL;DR: The methodology of continuous feedback-based flow titrations and the principle of compensating errors were applied to the determination of calcium and magnesium ions with EDTA to allow true titrations with good reproducibility and throughput.
