Transient alterations in slow oscillations of hippocampal networks by low-frequency stimulations on multi-electrode arrays

TL;DR: The results demonstrated that the slow oscillatory activities in hippocampal cultures could be regulated by external stimulation, which indicates that multi-electrode arrays provide a well-suited platform for studying the dynamics of slow oscillations in vitro and may help to elucidate the mechanism of electrical stimulation therapy.
Journal ArticleDOI

GPU accelerated electric field Monte Carlo simulation of light propagation in turbid media using a finite-size beam model

TL;DR: In this paper, a parallel implementation of the electric field Monte Carlo simulation based on the compute unified device architecture (CUDA) running on a graphics processing unit (GPU) is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

Identification and Application of Neutralizing Epitopes of Human Adenovirus Type 55 Hexon Protein.

TL;DR: Four type-specific epitope peptides of HAdV55 hexon protein were predicted by multiple sequence alignment and homology modeling methods and confirmed with synthetic peptides by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and neutralization tests (NT) and a chimeric adenovirus rAd3A55R2 was successfully obtained.
Journal ArticleDOI

High-dynamic-range fluorescence molecular tomography for imaging of fluorescent targets with large concentration differences

TL;DR: In this paper, a high-dynamic-range free-space fluorescence molecular tomography (HDR-FMT) method was proposed for imaging of fluorescent targets with a large concentration difference.
Journal ArticleDOI

Correlation between hemodynamic and electrophysiological signals dissociates neural correlates of conflict detection and resolution in a Stroop task: a simultaneous near-infrared spectroscopy and event-related potential study

TL;DR: The results suggest that N450 reflects conflict detection and resolution, the left PFC may be involved in conflict detection, and the bilateral PFC is engaged in conflict resolution.
