E. J. Heathcote,Mitchell L. Shiffman,W. G. E. Cooksley,Geoffrey Dusheiko,Sam Lee,L. Balart,Robert Reindollar,Rajender Reddy,Teresa L. Wright,A. Lin,Joseph Hoffman,J. de Pamphilis +11 more
TL;DR: In patients with chronic hepatitis C and cirrhosis or bridging fibrosis, 180 microg of peginterferon alfa-2a administered once weekly is significantly more effective than 3 million units of standard interferonAlfa- 2a administered three times weekly.
Journal ArticleDOI
Hepatic histological findings in suspected drug-induced liver injury: systematic evaluation and clinical associations.
David E. Kleiner,Naga Chalasani,William M. Lee,Robert J. Fontana,Herbert L. Bonkovsky,Paul B. Watkins,Paul H. Hayashi,Timothy J. Davern,Victor Navarro,Rajender Reddy,Jayant A. Talwalkar,Andrew Stolz,Jiezhun Gu,Huiman X. Barnhart,Jay H. Hoofnagle +14 more
TL;DR: An approach for evaluating liver histology in DILI is described and numerous associations between pathological findings and clinical presentations are demonstrated that may serve as a foundation for future studies correlating D ILI pathology with its causality and outcome.
Journal ArticleDOI
A Phase II Study of Weekly 24-Hour Infusion With High-Dose Fluorouracil With Leucovorin in Colorectal Carcinoma
Bach Ardalan,L Chua,Erming Tian,Rajender Reddy,Kasi S. Sridhar,Pasquale Benedetto,Stephen P. Richman,Adrian Legaspi,Stuart Waldman,L Morrell +9 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that short-term infusional therapy of 5-FU and LV in patients with advanced metastatic colorectal cancer generates acceptable toxicity, with equivalent or superior survivability in previously treated and untreated patients versus alternative methods of administration of the two agents.
Journal ArticleDOI

TL;DR: Hepatitis C–related hepatocellular carcinoma in the United States: influence of ethnic status.
Journal ArticleDOI
Iron reduction as an adjuvant to interferon therapy in patients with chronic hepatitis C who have previously not responded to interferon: A multicenter, prospective, randomized, controlled trial
Adrian M. Di Bisceglie,Herbert L. Bonkovsky,Sanjiv Chopra,S.L. Flamm,Rajender Reddy,Norman D. Grace,Paul G. Killenberg,Christine M. Hunt,Carlo H. Tamburro,Anthony S. Tavill,Roy Ferguson,Edward L. Krawitt,Barbara F. Banner,Bruce R. Bacon +13 more
TL;DR: Although prior phlebotomy therapy does not improve the rate of sustained response to interferon retreatment, it does result in less liver injury manifested by a decrease in serum transaminase activity and a slight improvement in liver histopathology.
