Journal ArticleDOI
Metabolic Imaging of the Human Brain with Hyperpolarized 13C Pyruvate Demonstrates 13C Lactate Production in Brain Tumor Patients.
Vesselin Z. Miloushev,Kristin L. Granlund,Rostislav Boltyanskiy,Serge K. Lyashchenko,Lisa M. DeAngelis,Lisa M. DeAngelis,Ingo K. Mellinghoff,Ingo K. Mellinghoff,Cameron Brennan,Cameron Brennan,Viviane Tabar,Viviane Tabar,T. Jonathan Yang,Andrei I. Holodny,Andrei I. Holodny,Ramon E. Sosa,YanWei W. Guo,Albert P. Chen,James Tropp,Fraser Robb,Kayvan R. Keshari +20 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that HP 13C pyruvate-to-lactate conversion may be a viable metabolic biomarker for assessing tumor response, and enables metabolic imaging in the brain and can be a quantitative biomarkers for active tumors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Differentiation of Uterine Leiomyosarcoma from Atypical Leiomyoma: Diagnostic Accuracy of Qualitative MR Imaging Features and Feasibility of Texture Analysis.
Yulia Lakhman,Harini Veeraraghavan,Joshua Chaim,Diana Feier,Diana Feier,Debra A. Goldman,Chaya S. Moskowitz,Stephanie Nougaret,Ramon E. Sosa,Hebert Alberto Vargas,Robert A. Soslow,Nadeem R. Abu-Rustum,Hedvig Hricak,Evis Sala +13 more
TL;DR: Four qualitative MR features demonstrated the strongest statistical association with LMS, and texture analysis was a feasible semi-automated approach for lesion categorization.
Journal ArticleDOI
Unraveling tumor–immune heterogeneity in advanced ovarian cancer uncovers immunogenic effect of chemotherapy
Alejandro Jiménez-Sánchez,Paulina Cybulska,K. LaVigne,Simon Koplev,Oliver Cast,Dominique-Laurent Couturier,Danish Memon,Danish Memon,Pier Selenica,Ines Nikolovski,Yousef Mazaheri,Yonina Bykov,Felipe C Geyer,Geoff Macintyre,Lena Morrill Gavarró,Ruben M. Drews,Michael Gill,Anastasios D. Papanastasiou,Ramon E. Sosa,Robert A. Soslow,Tyler Walther,Ronglai Shen,Dennis S. Chi,Kay J. Park,Travis J. Hollmann,Jorge S. Reis-Filho,Florian Markowetz,Pedro Beltrao,Alberto Vargas,Dmitriy Zamarin,James D. Brenton,Alexandra Snyder,Britta Weigelt,Evis Sala,Evis Sala,Martin L. Miller +35 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that the tumor–immune microenvironment of advanced HGSOC is intrinsically heterogeneous and that chemotherapy induces local immune activation, suggesting that chemotherapy can potentiate the immunogenicity of immune-excluded H GSOC tumors.
Journal ArticleDOI
A novel representation of inter-site tumour heterogeneity from pre-treatment computed tomography textures classifies ovarian cancers by clinical outcome
Hebert Alberto Vargas,Harini Veeraraghavan,Maura Miccò,Stephanie Nougaret,Stephanie Nougaret,Yulia Lakhman,Andreas Meier,Ramon E. Sosa,Robert A. Soslow,Douglas A. Levine,Britta Weigelt,Carol Aghajanian,Hedvig Hricak,Joseph O. Deasy,Alexandra Snyder,Evis Sala +15 more
TL;DR: Quantitative metrics non-invasively capturing spatial inter-site heterogeneity may predict outcomes in patients with high-grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) and were associated with overall survival.
Journal ArticleDOI
Hyperpolarized MRI of Human Prostate Cancer Reveals Increased Lactate with Tumor Grade Driven by Monocarboxylate Transporter 1
Kristin L. Granlund,Sui Seng Tee,Hebert Alberto Vargas,Serge K. Lyashchenko,Ed Reznik,Samson W. Fine,Vincent P. Laudone,James A. Eastham,Karim Touijer,Victor E. Reuter,Mithat Gonen,Ramon E. Sosa,Duane Nicholson,YanWei W. Guo,Albert P. Chen,James Tropp,Fraser Robb,Hedvig Hricak,Hedvig Hricak,Kayvan R. Keshari,Kayvan R. Keshari +20 more
TL;DR: A potential link between actionable genomic alterations and metabolic information derived from hyperpolarized pyruvate MRI is identified, and the highest lactate occurred in patients with PTEN loss.
