Journal ArticleDOI

Schistosoma mansoni infection suppresses the growth of Plasmodium yoelii parasites in the liver and reduces gametocyte infectivity to mosquitoes.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors carried out coinfection studies using Plasmodium yoelii and Schistosoma mansoni in mice and found that mice infected with S. mansoni infection are significantly inhibited in the liver following sporozoite inoculation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Mouse models of amoebiasis and culture methods of amoeba

TL;DR: In this article, a review summarizes mouse models of amoebiasis and the current state of laboratory culture method of amobasophagea in the laboratory is presented. And a mouse model of liver abscess by inoculating amoba through portal vein is developed.
Journal ArticleDOI

The dynamics of ultrastructural changes during Entamoeba invadens encystation.

TL;DR: A functional linkage of processes that are crucial in encystation, such as glycogen accumulation and cyst wall formation is indicated, which provides a reference for studying sequential molecular events during Entamoeba ency station.
