Journal ArticleDOI

Loss of Pin1 Suppresses Hedgehog-Driven Medulloblastoma Tumorigenesis.

TL;DR: The discovery of the GLI1/PIN1 interaction uncovers PIN1 as a novel therapeutic target in Hedgehog-driven medulloblastoma tumorigenesis, and in vivo functional analyses of Pin1 in the GFAP-tTA;TRE-SmoA1 mouse model demonstrate that the loss of Pin 1 impairs tumor development and dramatically increases survival.
Journal ArticleDOI

Bcl6 Is Expressed in Neuroblastoma: Tumor Cell Type-Specific Expression Predicts Outcome

TL;DR: Findings suggest that Bcl6 may be useful as a prognostic marker and might represent a potential therapeutic target for high-risk NB.
Journal ArticleDOI

Glycogen Synthase Kinase 3β in Pancreatic Cancer and its Implications in Chemotherapy and Radiation Therapy

TL;DR: This review will discuss both the oncogenic and tumor suppressor functions of GSK3β in pancreatic cancer with an emphasis on the roles of G SK3 β in tumor cell survival and sensitivity to radiation and chemotherapy.
Journal ArticleDOI

CLU blocks HDACI-mediated killing of neuroblastoma

TL;DR: The results suggest that in neuroblastoma, clusterin exerts its anti-apoptotic effects downstream of Ku70 acetylation, likely by directly blocking Bax activation and affecting histone deacetylase-inhibitor-induced Ku70acetylation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Loss of AMPKα2 Impairs Hedgehog-Driven Medulloblastoma Tumorigenesis.

TL;DR: This study reveals that AMPKα2 KO impairs SHH medulloblastoma tumorigenesis, and performs complementary molecular and genomic analyses that support the hypothesis of a pro-tumorigenic SHH/AMPK/CNBP axis in medullOBlastoma.
