Lipid Desaturation Is a Metabolic Marker and Therapeutic Target of Ovarian Cancer Stem Cells

TL;DR: It is shown that increased lipid unsaturation is a metabolic marker for ovarian CSCs and a target for CSC-specific therapy and Mechanistically, it is demonstrated that nuclear factor κB (NF-κB) directly regulates the expression levels of lipid desaturases, and inhibition of desaturase blocks NF-κBs signaling.
Journal ArticleDOI

β-Catenin-regulated ALDH1A1 is a target in ovarian cancer spheroids.

TL;DR: In this paper, the role of β-catenin-regulated ALDH1A1 in the maintenance of ovarian cancer spheroids was investigated and new targetable molecules targeting this cell population were proposed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Epigenetic targeting of ovarian cancer stem cells.

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of the new DNA methytransferase inhibitor SGI-110 on cancer stem-like marker aldehyde dehydrogenase (ALDH) were evaluated.

β-Catenin-regulated ALDH1A1 is a target in ovarian cancer spheroids

TL;DR: The role of β-catenin-regulated ALDH1A1 in the maintenance of OC spheroids is supported and new ALDH 1A1 inhibitors targeting this cell population are proposed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Frizzled-7 Identifies Platinum-Tolerant Ovarian Cancer Cells Susceptible to Ferroptosis.

TL;DR: The results support the existence of a platinum-tolerant cell population with partial cancer stem cell features, characterized by FZD7 expression and dependent on the FzD7–β-catenin–Tp63–GPX4 pathway for survival.
