TL;DR: The obtained results suggest that flavonoids in I. sonchifolia Hance, in particular luteolin, contribute at least partly to the neuroprotective effects against ischemia-induced cellular injury and can be potentially developed for treatment of is chemia-reperfusion induced diseases.
