TL;DR: The most striking postmortem finding was an acute interstitial pneumonia, which was found in nearly all examined mink that died at the peak of the outbreaks of SARS-CoV-2, which caused respiratory disease outbreaks in mink farms in the Netherlands.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors assessed whether precision-cut lung slices (PCLS) could facilitate the selection of animal models, thereby reducing animal experimentation and found that PCLS can be used as convenient tool for the screening of different animal species for sensitivity to newly emerged viruses.
