Journal ArticleDOI
Detecting hepatitis B virus in surgical smoke emitted during laparoscopic surgery.
TL;DR: Surgical smoke from laparoscopic surgeries on patients with hepatitis B found HBV was detected in surgical smoke in 10 of the 11 cases, providing preliminary data in the investigation of airborne HBV infection.

TL;DR: There are sound oncological hypotheses for a more radical approach than has been common up to now to colon cancer resection, however, this may not necessarily apply in early stages of the tumour stage.
Journal ArticleDOI
Robotic vs laparoscopic resection of rectal cancer: short-term outcomes of a case-control study.
TL;DR: Robotic rectal cancer resection can be safely performed by experienced laparoscopic surgeons, with acceptable short-term outcomes comparable to those for Laparoscopic resection, according to a case-control study.
