Journal ArticleDOI

Molecular modelling of the interaction between the catalytic site of pig pancreatic alpha-amylase and amylose fragments.

TL;DR: A stereo chemical refinement of the crystalline complex between porcine pancreatic alpha-amylase and a pseudopentasaccharide from the amylostatin family has been performed through molecular mechanics calculations, providing a starting point for docking a maltopentaose moiety within the catalytic site, in the absence of water.
Journal ArticleDOI

A pipeline to translate glycosaminoglycan sequences into 3D models. Application to the exploration of glycosaminoglycan conformational space

TL;DR: The building of an automated pipeline to standardize the format of GAG sequences interacting with proteins manually curated from the literature is reported, and a converter to automatically translate the GlycoCT code of a GAG sequence into the input file required to construct a three-dimensional model is developed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Negatively charged glyconanoparticles modulate and stabilize the secondary structures of a gp120 V3 loop peptide: toward fully synthetic HIV vaccine candidates.

TL;DR: Modulation and stabilization of either the α-helix or β-strand conformation of the V3 peptide by conjugation to negatively charged gold glyconanoparticles (GNPs) open up the way for the design of new fully synthetic HIV vaccine candidates.
Journal ArticleDOI

Assessing Sucrose Hydroxyl Acidities Through Semiempirical Calculations

TL;DR: In this article, the chemical reactivity of sucrose has been evaluated using semiempirical molecular orbital (AM1 and PM3) frameworks, and a simple conformational equilibrium consistent with NMR experiments was taken into account.
