Journal ArticleDOI
Internal motion in carbohydrates as probed by n.m.r. spectroscopy.
TL;DR: Data suggest that proton and carbon relaxation rates have been measured for several oligosaccharides at different temperatures and suggest that these motions are not slow with respect to the overall tumbling.
Journal ArticleDOI
LectomeXplore, an update of UniLectin for the discovery of carbohydrate-binding proteins based on a new lectin classification.
François Bonnardel,François Bonnardel,François Bonnardel,Julien Mariethoz,Julien Mariethoz,Serge Pérez,Anne Imberty,Frédérique Lisacek,Frédérique Lisacek +8 more
TL;DR: A new lectin classification is proposed that is built on three levels: 35 lectin domain folds, 109 classes of lectin sharing at least 20% sequence similarity and 350 families of lectins sharing at at least 70% sequence Similarity.
Journal ArticleDOI
How do antibodies and lectins recognize histo-blood group antigens? A 3D-QSAR study by comparative molecular field analysis (CoMFA).
Anne Imberty,Rosella Mollicone,Emmanuel Mikros,Pierre-Alain Carrupt,Serge Pérez,Rafael Oriol +5 more
TL;DR: Analysis of the 3D-QSAR data gives indications on the carbohydrate epitopes essential for antibody recognition and yields some insights about the nature of the molecular recognition.
Journal ArticleDOI
Stereochemical analysis of d-glucopyranosyl-sulfoxides via a combined NMR, molecular modeling and X-ray crystallographic approach
Peter H. Buist,Behnaz Behrouzian,Kenzie D. MacIsaac,Stephanie Cassel,Patrick Rollin,Anne Imberty,Catherine Gautier,Serge Pérez,Pierre Genix +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the absolute configuration of a representative epimeric pair of glucopyranosyl sulfoxides was predicted by using MPAA as an NMR shift reagent in combination with molecular modeling, which was confirmed by X-ray crystallographic examination of one of the epimers.
Journal ArticleDOI
Transferred Nuclear Overhauser Enhancement (NOE) and Rotating‐Frame NOE Experiments Reflect the Size of the Bound Segment of the Forssman Pentasaccharide in the Binding Site of Dolichos Biflorus Lectin
TL;DR: It was found that all intermolecular transferred NOEs matched short interatomic distances between ligand protons and aliphatic or aromatic amino acid side chain protons predicted by the theoretical model.
