Journal ArticleDOI

Validation of Intravascular Ultrasound–Derived Parameters With Fractional Flow Reserve for Assessment of Coronary Stenosis Severity

TL;DR: IVUS-derived MLA ≥2.4 mm2 may be useful to exclude FFR <0.80, but poor specificity limits its value for physiological assessment of lesions with MLA <2.2 mm2, and FFR or stress tests may be necessary to accurately identify ischemia-inducible intermediate stenoses.
Journal ArticleDOI

Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement With Early- and New-Generation Devices in Bicuspid Aortic Valve Stenosis.

TL;DR: New-generation devices were associated with less paravalvular leak and, hence, a higher device success rate than early- Generation devices, and the clinical outcomes of TAVR in patients with bicuspid AS were favorable.
Journal ArticleDOI

Duration of Dual Antiplatelet Therapy After Implantation of Drug-Eluting Stents

TL;DR: For example, the authors showed that the use of dual antiplatelet therapy for a period longer than 12 months in patients who had received drug-eluting stents was not significantly more effective than aspirin monotherapy in reducing the rate of myocardial infarction or death from cardiac causes.
