Journal ArticleDOI

Source apportionment of fine particles and its chemical components over the Yangtze River Delta, China during a heavy haze pollution episode

TL;DR: In this paper, the particulate matter source apportionment technology (PSAT) method coupled within the Comprehensive air quality model with extensions (CAMx) is applied to study the source contributions to PM 2.5 and its major components at six receptors (Urban Shanghai, Chongming, Dianshan Lake, Urban Suzhou, Hangzhou and Zhoushan) in the Yangtze River Delta (YRD) region.
Journal ArticleDOI

Intermediate Volatility Organic Compound Emissions from a Large Cargo Vessel Operated under Real-World Conditions

TL;DR: Fuel type was the dominant determinant of ship IVOC emissions, IVOC volatility distributions, and SOA production, and the ship emitted more IVOC mass, produced higher proportions of volatile organic components, and produced more SOA mass when fueled with LSF than whenfueled with HSF.
Journal ArticleDOI

Emission factors of particulate and gaseous compounds from a large cargo vessel operated under real-world conditions.

TL;DR: To investigate the impacts of engine type, fuel, and operating conditions on emissions, measurements were conducted under actual operating conditions, including at-berth, maneuvering, and cruising at different engine loads to minimize uncertainty in the emission factors used in ship emissions calculations.
