Biomimetic ‘moth-eye’ anti-reflection boundary for graphene plasmons circuits
Bofeng Zhu,Bofeng Zhu,Guobin Ren,Martin J Cryan,Yixiao Gao,Haisu Li,Q Wang,Chenglong Wan,Shuisheng Jian +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, the anti-reflection boundary design for planar graphene plasmons (GPs) circuits based on biomimetic moth-eye structures was investigated by analytical effective medium theory combined with transfer matrix method and numerical finite element method.
Journal ArticleDOI
Analytic solution of cut-off wavelength of bend-insensitive fibers based on frustrated total reflection
TL;DR: Experimental results showed that the proposed analytic method had higher accuracy in the calculation of cut-off wavelength for BIFs that had a large proportion of depressed inner-cladding layer, which significantly expanded the range of accurately predicting the cut-offs wavelength.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Fabrication of Bragg Grating on Er3-doped Fiber
TL;DR: In this article, a technique for fabrication chirped Er3+-doped fiber gratings with etching method is reported, and an analysis is presented for the behavior of the Chirped gratings as a function of wavelength, the angle between the illuminating beams, as well as the position of the gratings.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Analysis on the synthetic effects of transmission and transmitter imperfection on PMD impairments
TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of transmission characteristics on PMD impairments have been taken into account together for the first time to our knowledge, and the imperfection of transmitters, primarily timing and amplitude jitters, could significantly increase the PMD-induced penalty in optical fiber transmission systems, especially when the instantaneous DGD is large.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Ultra-long haul L-band WDM transmission over a standard single-mode fiber loop using DCF+CFBG hybrid dispersion compensation
Zhi Tong,Shuisheng Jian,Tigang Ning,Huai Wei,Yan Liu,Zhongwei Tan,Guangquan Wang,Hong Cen,Juhao Li,Lei Zheng,Zhangyuan Chen,Ziyu Wang,Lixin Zhu,Anshi Xu,Guangming Huang,Yarning Zhu +15 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a 10.7Gb/s-line-rate L-band WDM loop transmission over 1890km standard single-mode fiber (SSMF) with 100km amplifier spacing as well as non-return-to-zero (NRZ) format is demonstrated.
