Investigation of the Effect of an Ether Moiety on the Liquid Crystallinity by Thin Film Polymerization

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of an ether moiety on liquid crystallinity was determined by means of in situ thin film polymerization under a polarizing microscope with a heating stage.
Journal ArticleDOI

An orally delivered bacteria-based coacervate antidote for alcohol detoxification.

TL;DR: In this article , an oral intestinal-coating coacervate antidote containing acetic acid bacteria (AAB) and sodium alginate (SA) mixture was constructed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Dynamics of Defect Annihilations in Polymerization of Aromatic Liquid Crystalline Polyesters

TL;DR: In this paper, the annihilation process of disclinations during in situ thin film polymerization of a series of aromatic liquid crystalline polyesters was studied using a polarizing light microscope (PLM) and the decreases both in isotropic molten area during liquid crystal (LC) phase formation and in distance between LC disclination pairs during annihilation were found to follow a power law relation.
