Optical constants of e-beam evaporated and annealed Nb2O5 thin films with varying thickness

TL;DR: In this article, the authors showed that the optical constants and microstructures of Nb2O5 films exhibit a strong dependence on the annealing temperature, and that the refractive indices show a positive correlation with the annoaling temperature from 300 °C to 600 °C, but a negative correlation from 600 °c to 800 °C.

Structural, electronic, and optical properties of α-Te tubular nanostructures: A first-principles study

TL;DR: In this article, the structural, electronic, and optical properties of α-Te tubular nanostructures were investigated using density functional theory, and it was shown that α-te tube-like structures have an indirect-to-direct bandgap transition as tube diameter is decreased to a specific critical tube size.
