Golden measurements at a neutrino factory

TL;DR: In this paper, the precision and discovery potential of a neutrino factory based on muon storage rings is studied, and the appearance of wrong-sign muons at three different baselines is considered: 732 km, 3500 km, and 7332 km.
Journal ArticleDOI

Physics at a future Neutrino Factory and super-beam facility

A. Bandyopadhyay, +96 more
TL;DR: The conclusions of the Physics Working Group of the International Scoping Study of a future Neutrino Factory and super-beam facility (the ISS) are presented in this article.
Journal ArticleDOI

The effective chiral Lagrangian for a light dynamical “Higgs particle”

TL;DR: In this article, the connection between linear realizations of the electroweak symmetry breaking mechanism and non-linear realizations with a light Higgs-like particle present is explored, and the analysis is reduced by nature to the consideration of those flavor-conserving operators that can be written in terms of pure-gauge or gauge-Higgs ones via the equations of motion.
Journal ArticleDOI

Aspects of type I string phenomenology

TL;DR: In this paper, different phenomenological aspects of compact, D = 4, N = 1 orientifolds considered as models for unification of the standard model and gravity were studied. But the authors emphasized that in the context of Type I models the M W / M Planck hierarchy problem is substantially alleviated and may be generated by geometrical factors.
