Golden measurements at a neutrino factory
A. Cervera,Andrea Donini,M.B. Gavela,J. J. Gomez Y Cadenas,Pilar Hernández,Olga Mena,Stefano Rigolin +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the precision and discovery potential of a neutrino factory based on muon storage rings is studied, and the appearance of wrong-sign muons at three different baselines is considered: 732 km, 3500 km, and 7332 km.
Journal ArticleDOI

Fetscher,A. van der Schaaf +96 more
TL;DR: The conclusions of the Physics Working Group of the International Scoping Study of a future Neutrino Factory and super-beam facility (the ISS) are presented in this article.
Journal ArticleDOI
The effective chiral Lagrangian for a light dynamical “Higgs particle”
TL;DR: In this article, the connection between linear realizations of the electroweak symmetry breaking mechanism and non-linear realizations with a light Higgs-like particle present is explored, and the analysis is reduced by nature to the consideration of those flavor-conserving operators that can be written in terms of pure-gauge or gauge-Higgs ones via the equations of motion.
Journal ArticleDOI
Aspects of type I string phenomenology
TL;DR: In this paper, different phenomenological aspects of compact, D = 4, N = 1 orientifolds considered as models for unification of the standard model and gravity were studied. But the authors emphasized that in the context of Type I models the M W / M Planck hierarchy problem is substantially alleviated and may be generated by geometrical factors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Disentangling a dynamical Higgs
Ilaria Brivio,Tyler Corbett,Oscar J.P. Eboli,M.B. Gavela,J. Gonzalez-Fraile,M. C. Gonzalez-Garcia,M. C. Gonzalez-Garcia,M. C. Gonzalez-Garcia,Luca Merlo,Stefano Rigolin +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of the non-linearization of the SU(2)L × U(1)Y gauge symmetry breaking and the linearization of a light Higgs particle were investigated.
