Journal ArticleDOI
Co-application of ACC-deaminase producing PGPR and timber-waste biochar improves pigments formation, growth and yield of wheat under drought stress.
TL;DR: It is concluded that co-application of PGPR and biochar is an effective technique to mitigate the drought effects.
Journal ArticleDOI
Coupling Phosphate-Solubilizing Bacteria with Phosphorus Supplements Improve Maize Phosphorus Acquisition and Growth under Lime Induced Salinity Stress.
Muhammad Adnan,Shah Fahad,Muhammad Zamin,Shahen Shah,Ishaq Ahmad Mian,Subhan Danish,Muhammad Zafar-ul-Hye,Martin Leonardo Battaglia,Raja Mohib Muazzam Naz,Beena Saeed,Shah Saud,Imran Ahmad,Zhen Yue,Martin Brtnicky,Martin Brtnicky,Jiri Holatko,Rahul Datta +16 more
TL;DR: Inoculation and application of P as organic manures improved maize growth and P uptake compared to the control and soils with P applied from mineral sources, and mineral P sources combined with PSB were as effective as the organic sources alone.
Journal ArticleDOI
ACC-deaminase producing plant growth promoting rhizobacteria and biochar mitigate adverse effects of drought stress on maize growth
TL;DR: Combination of ACC-deaminase containing PGPR, A. xylosoxidans and biochar (0.75%) proved an effective technique to improve maize growth and productivity under drought stress.
Journal ArticleDOI
Alleviation of chromium toxicity in maize by Fe fortification and chromium tolerant ACC deaminase producing plant growth promoting rhizobacteria.
Subhan Danish,Sidra Kiran,Shah Fahad,Niaz Ahmad,Muhammad Arif Ali,Fayyaz Ahmad Tahir,Muhammad Khalid Rasheed,Khurram Shahzad,Xiuling Li,Depeng Wang,Muhammad Mubeen,Sunaina Abbas,Tariq Muhammad Munir,Muhammad Zaffar Hashmi,Muhammad Adnan,Beena Saeed,Shah Saud,Mohammad Nauman Khan,Abid Ullah,Wajid Nasim,Wajid Nasim +20 more
TL;DR: Examination of effect of foliar Fe with and without Cr tolerant PGPR under Cr toxicity (50 and 100 mg kg-1) in maize (Zea mays) production confirmed that combined application of A. fabrum with 500 μM Fe is a more efficacious approach for alleviation of Cr toxicity and fortification of Fe comparative to sole foliar application of500 μM Fe.
Journal ArticleDOI
ACC Deaminase Producing PGPR Bacillus amyloliquefaciens and Agrobacterium fabrum along with Biochar Improve Wheat Productivity under Drought Stress
TL;DR: It is suggested that the combined soil application of B. amyloliquefaciens and BC more effectively mitigates drought stress and improves wheat productivity as compared to any of the individual soil applications tested in this study.
