TL;DR: Results show that genetic variation in the CLPTM1L-TERT locus of chromosome 5p15.33 is directly associated with the risk of lung cancer, most notably adenocarcinoma.
Journal ArticleDOI
Telomere length and the risk of lung cancer.
Jin Sung Jang,Yi Young Choi,Won Kee Lee,Jin Eun Choi,Sung Ick Cha,Yeon Jae Kim,Chang Ho Kim,Sin Kam,Tae Hoon Jung,Jae Yong Park +9 more
TL;DR: The findings suggest that shortening of the telomeres may be a risk factor for lung cancer, and therefore, the presence of shortened telomere length may be used as a marker for susceptibility to lung cancer.
Journal ArticleDOI
PTEN mutations and relationship to EGFR, ERBB2, KRAS, and TP53 mutations in non-small cell lung cancers
Guang Jin,Min Jung Kim,Hyo-Sung Jeon,Jin Eun Choi,Dong Sun Kim,Eung Bae Lee,Sung Ick Cha,Ghil Sook Yoon,Chang Ho Kim,Tae Hoon Jung,Jae Yong Park,Jae Yong Park +11 more
TL;DR: The findings indicate that PTEN mutations are relatively common in NSCLC, and thus analysis ofPTEN mutations may facilitate a comprehensive understanding of the genetic alterations related to the EGFR signaling pathway.
Journal Article
Polymorphisms of the DNA repair gene xeroderma pigmentosum group A and risk of primary lung cancer.
Jae Yong Park,Sun-Hee Park,Jin Eun Choi,Su Yeon Lee,Hyo Sung Jeon,Sung Ick Cha,Chang Ho Kim,Jae Ho Park,Sin Kam,Rang Woon Park,In-San Kim,Tae Hoon Jung +11 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that the XPA A23G polymorphism contributes to genetic susceptibility for lung cancer.
Journal ArticleDOI
Caspase 9 promoter polymorphisms and risk of primary lung cancer
Jae Yong Park,Jung Min Park,Jin Sung Jang,Jin Eun Choi,Kyung Mee Kim,Sung Ick Cha,Chang Ho Kim,Young Mo Kang,Won Kee Lee,Sin Kam,Rang Woon Park,In San Kim,Jae Tae Lee,Tae Hoon Jung +13 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that CASP-9 promoter polymorphisms affect CASp-9 expression and contribute to genetic susceptibility to lung cancer.
