Couplings between changes in the climate system and biogeochemistry

TL;DR: Denman et al. as discussed by the authors presented the Couplings between changes in the climate system and biogeochemistry Coordinating Lead Authors: Kenneth L. Denman (Canada), Guy Brasseur (USA, Germany), Amnat Chidthaisong (Thailand), Philippe Ciais (France), Peter M. Cox (UK), Robert E. Austin (USA), D.B. Wofsy (USA) and Xiaoye Zhang (China).

Climate Effects of Black Carbon Aerosols in China and India

TL;DR: A global climate model used to investigate possible aerosol contributions to trends in China and India found precipitation and temperature changes in the model that were comparable to those observed if the aerosols included a large proportion of absorbing black carbon (“soot”), similar to observed amounts.
Journal ArticleDOI

Earth's Energy Imbalance: Confirmation and Implications

TL;DR: It is calculated that Earth is now absorbing 0.85 ± 0.15 watts per square meter more energy from the Sun than it is emitting to space, confirmed by precise measurements of increasing ocean heat content over the past 10 years.
