Journal ArticleDOI
Theoretical analysis of diffusional movement through heterogeneous barriers
TL;DR: In this paper, a number of theoretical relations dealing with diffusion through heterogeneous barriers are presented and discussed, which are expected to be useful in predicting barrier behavior in formulations such as pharmaceutical and particularly protective ointments and films.
Journal ArticleDOI
N-substituted 1-cyanobenz[f]isoindole: evaluation of fluorescence efficiencies of a new fluorogenic label for primary amines and amino acids.
Journal ArticleDOI
Rates of hydrolysis of carbamate and carbonate esters in alkaline solution
TL;DR: The data seemed to indicate two mechanisms for the hydrolysis of the carbamates: that initiated by an hydroxyl ion attachment on the central carbon atom followed by a carbamate ion intermediate, and that involving direct ionization of an amide hydrogen followed by formation of an isocyanate intermediate.
Journal ArticleDOI
