Modulation of the Osteosarcoma Expression Phenotype by MicroRNAs

TL;DR: This study provides an integrated analysis of miRNA and mRNA in osteosarcoma, and gives new insight into the complex genetic mechanisms of osteosARcoma development and progression, as well as identifying 177 miRNAs that were differentially expressed in osteOSarcomA cell lines relative to normal bone.
Journal ArticleDOI

Noninvasive Detection of ctDNA Reveals Intratumor Heterogeneity and Is Associated with Tumor Burden in Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumor.

TL;DR: It is shown that detection of GIST-specific mutations in plasma is particularly feasible for patients with high tumor burden, and mutational analysis by use of liquid biopsies can capture the molecular heterogeneity of the whole tumor, and may guide treatment decisions during progression.
Journal ArticleDOI

Reexpression of LSAMP inhibits tumor growth in a preclinical osteosarcoma model

TL;DR: The high frequency and the specificity of the deletion indicate that it is important for the development of osteosarcomas, and the tumor suppressor function of LSAMP is likely exerted by reducing the proliferation rate of the tumor cells.
Journal ArticleDOI

Epigenetic Regulation and Functional Characterization of MicroRNA-142 in Mesenchymal Cells

TL;DR: It is shown that treatment with the demethylating agent 5-Aza-2′-deoxycytidine significantly reduced the DNA methylation of the upstream CpG island, which led to increased expression, and that in vitro DNA methylations of the downstream region of the mir-142 precursor repressed its transcriptional activity.
