Micrometastases and survival in stage II colorectal cancer.
Gerrit-Jan Liefers,Anne-Marie Cleton-Jansen,van de Velde Cj,Jo Hermans,van Krieken Jh,Cees J. Cornelisse,R.A.E.M. Tollenaar +6 more
TL;DR: Molecular detection of micrometastases is a prognostic tool in stage II colorectal cancer and can be used to identify patients with stage II disease who are at high risk for recurrence.
Journal ArticleDOI
Somatic mosaic IDH1 and IDH2 mutations are associated with enchondroma and spindle cell hemangioma in Ollier disease and Maffucci syndrome
Twinkal C. Pansuriya,Ronald van Eijk,Pio D'Adamo,Maayke A. J. H. van Ruler,Marieke L. Kuijjer,Jan Oosting,Anne-Marie Cleton-Jansen,Jolieke G. van Oosterwijk,Sofie L. J. Boon,Laurence M. Boon,Miikka Vikkula,Miikka Vikkula,Kyle C. Kurek,Karoly Szuhai,Pim J. French,Judith V.M.G. Bovée +28 more
TL;DR: Somatic heterozygous mutations in IDH1 or IDH2 mutations in cartilage tumors were associated with hypermethylation and downregulated expression of several genes and suggested intraneoplastic and somatic mosaicism.
Journal ArticleDOI
Instability of short tandem repeats (microsatellites) in human cancers
Richard Wooster,Anne-Marie Cleton-Jansen,N. Collins,Jonathon Mangion,R.S. Cornelis,Colin Cooper,Barry A. Gusterson,Bruce A.J. Ponder,A. von Deimling,Otmar D. Wiestler,Cees J. Cornelisse,Peter Devilee,Michael R. Stratton +12 more
TL;DR: The allele sizes of polymorphic microsatellite repeats in DNA from human cancers were compared to normal DNA from the same patients and evidence of an extra allele of a different size in the tumour which was not present in the normal DNA was found.
Journal ArticleDOI
Tumor-Infiltrating Macrophages Are Associated with Metastasis Suppression in High-Grade Osteosarcoma: A Rationale for Treatment with Macrophage Activating Agents
Emilie P. Buddingh,Marieke L. Kuijjer,Ronald A.J. Duim,Horst Bürger,Konstantin Agelopoulos,Ola Myklebost,Massimo Serra,Fredrik Mertens,Pancras C.W. Hogendoorn,Arjan C. Lankester,Anne-Marie Cleton-Jansen +10 more
TL;DR: A biological rationale for the adjuvant treatment of high-grade osteosarcoma patients with macrophage activating agents, such as muramyl tripeptide is provided.
Journal ArticleDOI
Positional cloning of the Fanconi anaemia group A gene
Sinoula Apostolou,S.A. Whitmore,Joanna Crawford,Gregory G. Lennon,Grant R. Sutherland,David F. Callen,Leonarda lanzano,Maria Savino,Maria D'Apolito,Angelo Notarangeio,Elena Memeo,Maria Rosaria Piemontese,Leopoldo Zelante,Anna Savoia,Rachel A. Gibson,Alex J. Tipping,Neil V. Auerbach,Anne-Marie Cleton-Jansen,Elna W. Moerland,Cees J. Cornelisse,Norman A. Doggett,Larry L. Deaven,Robert K. Moyzis +34 more
TL;DR: A gene encodes a protein of 1,455 amino acids that has no significant homology to any other known proteins, and may therefore represent a new class of genes associated with the prevention or repair of DNA damage.
