Journal ArticleDOI
Biosynthesis of zinc oxide nanoparticles usingMangifera indica leaves and evaluation of their antioxidant and cytotoxic properties in lung cancer (A549) cells.
Shanmugam Rajeshkumar,S. Venkat Kumar,Arunachalam Ramaiah,Happy Agarwal,Thangavelu Lakshmi,Selvaraj Mohana Roopan +5 more
TL;DR: The present biosynthesis approach is rapid, inexpensive and eco-friendly and it yielded highly stable ZnO NPs with significant antioxidant and anticancer potential for the treatment of lung cancer and subsequent therapeutic applications.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis of silver nanoparticles from Phenerochaete chrysosporium (MTCC-787) and their antibacterial activity against human pathogenic bacteria.
TL;DR: The biosynthesised silver nanoparticles showed significant antibacterial activity against Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylon epidermidis at a high dose and were observed to be non-toxic at 12.5 μg/ml towards fibroblast cells.
Journal ArticleDOI
Phyto-assisted synthesis of zinc oxide nanoparticles using Cassia alata and its antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli.
Agarwal Happy,Menon Soumya,S. Venkat Kumar,Shanmugam Rajeshkumar,R. David Sheba,Thangavelu Lakshmi,V. Deepak Nallaswamy +6 more
TL;DR: Results clearly validate the effective synthesis of spherical shaped nanoparticles with average size range of 60–80 nm and SEM and EDAX data buttresses the results obtained by XRD pattern in terms of size and purity.
Journal ArticleDOI
Anti-inflammatory and anticancer activities of Naringenin-loaded liquid crystalline nanoparticles in vitro.
Ridhima Wadhwa,Ridhima Wadhwa,Keshav Raj Paudel,Keshav Raj Paudel,Li Hian Chin,Chian Ming Hon,Thiagarajan Madheswaran,Gaurav Gupta,Jithendra Panneerselvam,Thangavelu Lakshmi,Sachin Kumar Singh,Monica Gulati,Harish Dureja,Alan Hsu,Meenu Mehta,Meenu Mehta,Krishnan Anand,Hari Prasad Devkota,Jestin Chellian,Dinesh Kumar Chellappan,Philip M. Hansbro,Philip M. Hansbro,Philip M. Hansbro,Kamal Dua,Kamal Dua,Kamal Dua +25 more
TL;DR: Naringenin-LCNs may be employed as a potential therapy-based intervention to ameliorate airway inflammation and to inhibit the progression of lung cancer, based on observations and results.
Journal ArticleDOI
Acacia catechu ethanolic bark extract induces apoptosis in human oral squamous carcinoma cells.
Thangavelu Lakshmi,Devaraj Ezhilarasan,Rajagopal Vijayaragavan,Sukhwinder K. Bhullar,Ramasamy Rajendran +4 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that ACB extract can be used as a modulating agent in oral squamous cell carcinoma and confirms the apoptosis induction in SCC-25 cells.
