Veloso,Franz Kottmann +34 more
TL;DR: The root-mean-square charge radius, rp, has been determined with an accuracy of 2 per cent by electron–proton scattering experiments, and the present most accurate value of rp (with an uncertainty of 1 per cent) is given by the CODATA compilation of physical constants.

Veloso,Jan Vogelsang,Randolf Pohl +37 more
TL;DR: Accurate knowledge of the charge and Zemach radii of the proton is essential, not only for understanding its structure but also as input for tests of bound-state quantum electrodynamics and its predictions for the energy levels of hydrogen.

Veloso,Aldo Antognini,Aldo Antognini,Aldo Antognini +39 more
TL;DR: The deuteron is too small, too The radius of the proton has remained a point of debate ever since the spectroscopy of muonic hydrogen indicated a large discrepancy from the previously accepted value.
Journal ArticleDOI
Heat accumulation during pulsed laser materials processing.
Rudolf Weber,Thomas Graf,Peter Berger,Volkher Onuseit,Margit Wiedenmann,Christian Freitag,Anne Feuer +6 more
TL;DR: The following discussion presents a comprehensive analytical treatment of multi-pulse processing and reveals the basic mechanisms of heat accumulation and its consequence for the resulting processing quality.
Journal ArticleDOI
