Journal ArticleDOI
Dual proteome-scale networks reveal cell-specific remodeling of the human interactome.
Edward L. Huttlin,Raphael J. Bruckner,José Navarrete-Perea,Joe R. Cannon,Kurt Baltier,Fana Gebreab,Melanie P. Gygi,Alexandra Thornock,Gabriela Zarraga,Stanley Tam,John Szpyt,Brandon M. Gassaway,Alexandra Panov,Hannah Parzen,Sipei Fu,Arvene Golbazi,Eila Maenpaa,Keegan Stricker,Sanjukta Guha Thakurta,Tian Zhang,Ramin Rad,Joshua Pan,David P. Nusinow,Joao A. Paulo,Devin K. Schweppe,Laura Pontano Vaites,J. Wade Harper,Steven P. Gygi +27 more
TL;DR: BioPlex 3.0 as discussed by the authors is a cell-line-specific interaction network that includes 118,162 interactions among 14,586 proteins in 293T cells and 5,522 immunoprecipitations in HCT116 cells.
Journal ArticleDOI
A human-airway-on-a-chip for the rapid identification of candidate antiviral therapeutics and prophylactics.
Longlong Si,Haiqing Bai,Melissa Rodas,Wuji Cao,Crystal Yuri Oh,Amanda Jiang,Amanda Jiang,Rasmus Møller,Daisy A. Hoagland,Kohei Oishi,Shu Horiuchi,Skyler Uhl,Daniel Blanco-Melo,Randy A. Albrecht,Wen-Chun Liu,Tristan X. Jordan,Benjamin E. Nilsson-Payant,Ilona Golynker,Justin J. Ingber +42 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a microfluidic bronchial-airway-on-a-chip line was used to model the human airway epithelium and pulmonary endothelium to model viral infection, strain-dependent virulence, cytokine production and the recruitment of circulating immune cells.
Journal ArticleDOI
The molecular mechanism of microRNA-145 to suppress invasion–metastasis cascade in gastric cancer
TL;DR: It is suggested that miR-145 suppresses tumor metastasis by inhibiting N-cadherin protein translation, and then indirectly downregulates its downstream effector MMP9.
Journal ArticleDOI
Antimicrobial peptaibols from Trichoderma pseudokoningii induce programmed cell death in plant fungal pathogens
Mei Shi,Lei Chen,Xiao-Wei Wang,Tian Zhang,Pei-Bao Zhao,Xiao-Yan Song,Cai-Yun Sun,Xiu-Lan Chen,Bai-Cheng Zhou,Yu-Zhong Zhang +9 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that trichokonin VI (TK VI) induced extensive apoptotic programmed cell death in plant fungal pathogens and represents what is believed to be the first report to reveal the antibiotic mechanism of peptaibols against plantfungal pathogens.
Journal ArticleDOI
3D Culture Models with CRISPR Screens Reveal Hyperactive NRF2 as a Prerequisite for Spheroid Formation via Regulation of Proliferation and Ferroptosis.
Nobuaki Takahashi,Nobuaki Takahashi,Patricia S. Cho,Patricia S. Cho,Laura M. Selfors,Laura M. Selfors,Hendrik J. Kuiken,Hendrik J. Kuiken,Roma Kaul,Roma Kaul,Takuro Fujiwara,Isaac S. Harris,Isaac S. Harris,Tian Zhang,Steven P. Gygi,Joan S. Brugge,Joan S. Brugge +16 more
TL;DR: The results illustrate the value of spheroid culture in revealing environmental or spatial differential dependencies onNRF2 and reveal exploitable vulnerabilities of NRF2-hyperactivated tumors.
