TL;DR: It is proposed that younger PMN released from the bone marrow after induction of severe acute pancreatitis preferen-tially sequester in pulmonary microvessels paralleling lung injury and speculate that therapies preventing this release may prove useful in the prevention of pancreatitis induced lung injury.
