Migration and cell recruiting activity of specifically sensitized lymphocytes in sponge matrix allografts.

TL;DR: Investigation of the migration of indium-lll-labeled specifically sensitized lymphocytes and unsensitized spleen lymphocytes into sponge matrix allografts in irradiated mice suggests that increased lymphocyte recruitment to anAllograft is initiated by an immunologically specific interaction between SSLs and alloantigen.
Journal ArticleDOI

Timing of resection in patients with colorectal carcinoma and synchronous liver metastases

TL;DR: When synchronous liver metastases are technically not resectable or carry a high risk of an R1 resection, patients should be treated first with systemic neo-adjuvant chemotherapy and if sufficient down-sizing of the metastases can be achieved, liver resection should be performed before bowel resection.
Journal ArticleDOI

Kupffer cells infiltrate liver tissue early after ischemia-reperfusion and partial hepatectomy.

TL;DR: The results suggest an infiltration of the cells early after the injury and a later local proliferation, suggesting a hepatic zonation of homing factors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Erfolgreiche lokale Katheterfragmentation und Thrombolyse bei akuter Lungenembolie in der frühen postoperativen Phase nach Pankreaskopfresektion

TL;DR: A case of successful local lysis in combination with catheter fragmentation of a massive two-sided pulmonary embolism diagnosed on the 4th postoperative day after pylorus-preserving duodenopancreatectomy for distal carcinoma of the common bile duct is reported.
