Journal ArticleDOI

Mutational screening of GABRG2 gene in Pakistani population of Punjab with generalized tonic clonic seizures and children with childhood absence epilepsy.

TL;DR: A single nucleotide alteration was more common in the patients with childhood absence epilepsy patients compared to the generalized cases, and a silent mutation was identified at locus 27,909 C > T in 30.66% of the total screened or analyzed cases.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis, structural properties, enzyme inhibition and molecular docking studies of (Z)-N'-(1-allyl-2-oxoindolin-3-ylidene) methanesulfono-hydrazide and (Z)-N'-(1-allyl-2-oxoindolin-3-ylidene)-3-nitrobenzenesulfono-hydrazide

TL;DR: In this article, two isatin-based new sulfono-hydrazides 4 and 5, synthesized in high yields and characterized by spectroscopic techniques, were confirmed unequivocally using X-ray diffraction crystallography, which revealed the presence of P21/c (4) and P21/(n) space groups and unit cells stabilized through noncovalent interactions.

Transformation of tomato variety rio grande with drought resistant transcription factor gene ATAF1 and its molecular analysis

TL;DR: The transformation protocol reported here can be used to generate drought resistant tomato plants in future and was successful in transforming tomato variety Rio Drande with drought resistant ATAF1 gene via Agrobacterium mediated gene transformation method.
Journal ArticleDOI

High Vacuum Fractional Distillation (HVFD) Approach for Quality and Performance Improvement of Azadirachta indica Biodiesel

TL;DR: In this article, a high vacuum fractional distillation (HVFD) was used as an alternative to produce high quality refined biodiesel and to improve on the abovementioned drawbacks of biodiesel.
Book ChapterDOI

Remediation of Cd-Contaminated Soils: Perspectives and Advancements

TL;DR: In this paper, two different approaches are discussed regarding Cd dynamics in soils: the use of inorganic chemical compounds as amendments to Cd-contaminated soils and the role of natural organic acidic compounds like citric acid, malic acid, oxalic acid and tartaric acid.
