TL;DR: The combined pollen and speleothems proxy data indicate that this montane rainforest expansion during Heinrich Stadial 1 Event was triggered mainly by a less seasonal rainfall regime from the subtropics to the equatorial region.
Journal ArticleDOI
The evolution of a tropical rainforest/grassland mosaic in southeastern Brazil since 28,000 14C yr BP based on carbon isotopes and pollen records
Luiz Carlos Ruiz Pessenda,Paulo E. De Oliveira,Milene Mofatto,Vanda Brito de Medeiros,R. Garcia,Ramon Aravena,José Albertino Bendassoli,Acácio Zuniga Leite,Antonio Roberto Saad,Mario Lincoln De Carlos Etchebehere +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, carbon isotope and pollen records were used to assess the impact of the glaciation on the native vegetation of the Serra do Mar rainforest in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Journal ArticleDOI
