Measurement of the inclusive jet cross-section in proton-proton collisions at √s = 7 TeV using 4.5 fb[superscript −1] of data with the ATLAS detector

Georges Aad, +2874 more
TL;DR: In this article, the double-differential cross-sections of the jet transverse momentum and the jet rapidity were measured in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV using a data set corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 4.5 fb−1 collected with the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider in 2011.

Performance of the ATLAS Level-1 topological trigger in Run 2

Georges Aad, +2823 more
TL;DR: The ATLAS Level-1 topological trigger allowed efficient data-taking by the ATLAS experiment at luminosities up to 2.1 as discussed by the authors , which exceeds the design value by a factor of two.

Search for new resonances in Wγ and Zγ final states in pp collisions at √s = 8 TeV with the ATLAS detector

Georges Aad, +2873 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a search for new resonances decaying to final states with a vector boson produced in association with a high transverse momentum photon, V gamma, with V = W(-> l nu) or Z(-&...

Georges Aad, +2868 more
- 09 Aug 2022 -
TL;DR: In this paper , the trajectories of b-hadron trajectories were obtained from a sample of dileptonic tt¯ events, and the associated set of charged-particle tracks was separated into those from the primary pp interaction vertex and those from displaced b-decay secondary vertex, which were then used to construct observables that characterize the longitudinal and transverse momentum distributions of the b hadron within the jet.

Measurement of the muon flux for the SHiP experiment

C. Ahdida, +332 more
TL;DR: In this article, the muon flux emanating from a SHiP-like target at the CERN SPS was measured, and the results showed that approximately 1/% of the muons produced in the dump were generated by a small number of muons.
