Journal ArticleDOI

Anti-HIV microRNA expression in a novel Indian cohort.

TL;DR: Compared expression of a panel of 13 reported anti-HIV miRNAs in human PBMCs from long term non progressors (LTNPs), regular progressors and rapid progressors is compared and it is found that LTNPs have substantial lower expression of miR-382-5p that positively correlates with viral loads.
Journal ArticleDOI

Expression of the human microRNA miR 29a in an Indian cohort of HIV patients

TL;DR: It is hypothesized that differential expression of the microRNA maybe a protective factor in AIDS progression and over expression of miR 29a/b could reduce virus levels by targeting the Nef gene.
