The risks and rewards of covariate adjustment in randomized trials: an assessment of 12 outcomes from 8 studies
TL;DR: Assessment of the impact of covariate adjustment on 12 outcomes from 8 studies across a range of therapeutic areas found that adjustment for known prognostic covariates can lead to substantial increases in power, and should be routinely incorporated into the analysis of randomized trials.
Journal ArticleDOI

Levesque,Barrett G. Levesque +24 more
TL;DR: The RHI is a new histopathological index with favourable operating properties and is evaluated by analyses of change scores, standardised effect size (SES) and Guyatt's responsiveness statistic (GRS) using data from a clinical trial of an effective therapy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Systematic review with meta-analysis: faecal microbiota transplantation for the induction of remission for active ulcerative colitis.
Samuel P Costello,W. Soo,Robert V Bryant,Vipul Jairath,Ailsa Hart,Jane M. Andrews,Jane M. Andrews +6 more
TL;DR: Faecal microbiota transplantation is emerging as a novel therapy for ulcerative colitis and interpretation of efficacy is complicated by differences among studies in blinding, FMT administration procedures, intensity of therapy and donor stool processing methods.
Journal ArticleDOI
