Journal ArticleDOI
A randomized phase II trial of Interleukin-2 in combination with four different doses of bryostatin in patients with renal cell carcinoma
Amy C. Peterson,Helena Harlin,Theodore Karrison,James A. Knost,John W. Kugler,N. J. Vogelzang,E. E. Vokes,Thomas F. Gajewski,Walter M. Stadler +8 more
TL;DR: Although the addition of Bryo-1 to IL-2 was well tolerated, it did not improve clinical response rates beyond those historically reported withIL-2 alone, nor did it augment T-cell expansion in patients with metastatic renal cell carcinoma.
Journal ArticleDOI
Selective MEK Inhibition with AZD-6244 (selumetinib) in Patients with Relapsed/Refractory Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma (DLBCL): A University of Chicago Phase II Consortium Trial
Natalie Galanina,Sonali M. Smith,Chuanhong Liao,Adam M. Petrich,Bernadette Libao,Ron Gartenhaus,Jason R. Westin,Kenneth S. Cohen,James A. Knost,Walter M. Stadler,Austin Doyle,Theodore Karrison,Leo I. Gordon,Andrew M. Evens +13 more
TL;DR: Despite excellent preclinical rationale to test selective MEK antagonism as a means of modulating MCT-1 and MEK/ERK in DLBCL, AZD-6244 was not well tolerated and had limited clinical activity.
Journal ArticleDOI
The relationship between anxiety about prostate cancer among patients with biochemical cancer recurrence and the use of complementary and alternative medicines, diet, and exercise
Richard T. Lee,Joshua Hemmerich,Nancy Kwon,Kathryn A. Bylow,Walter M. Stadler,Supriya G. Mohile,William Dale +6 more
TL;DR: Elevated baseline PCa-specific anxiety (MAX-PC score >16) after biochemical cancer recurrence was associated with use of any CAM, use of herbs/supplements, and dietary changes, and these changes are associated with elevated general and PCa -specific anxiety.
