A cannabinoid link between mitochondria and memory
Etienne Hebert-Chatelain,Etienne Hebert-Chatelain,Etienne Hebert-Chatelain,Tifany Desprez,Tifany Desprez,Roman Serrat,Roman Serrat,Luigi Bellocchio,Luigi Bellocchio,Luigi Bellocchio,Edgar Soria-Gomez,Edgar Soria-Gomez,Arnau Busquets-Garcia,Arnau Busquets-Garcia,Antonio C Pagano Zottola,Antonio C Pagano Zottola,Anna Delamarre,Anna Delamarre,Astrid Cannich,Astrid Cannich,Peggy Vincent,Peggy Vincent,Marjorie Varilh,Marjorie Varilh,Laurie M. Robin,Laurie M. Robin,Geoffrey Terral,Geoffrey Terral,M. Dolores García-Fernández,Michelangelo Colavita,Michelangelo Colavita,Michelangelo Colavita,Wilfrid Mazier,Wilfrid Mazier,Filippo Drago,Nagore Puente,Leire Reguero,Izaskun Elezgarai,Jean-William Dupuy,Daniela Cota,Daniela Cota,Maria-Luz Lopez-Rodriguez,Gabriel Barreda-Gómez,Federico Massa,Federico Massa,Pedro Grandes,Pedro Grandes,Giovanni Benard,Giovanni Benard,Giovanni Marsicano,Giovanni Marsicano +50 more
TL;DR: It is shown that acute cannabinoid-induced memory impairment in mice requires activation of hippocampal mtCB1 receptors, and this data reveal that bioenergetic processes are primary acute regulators of cognitive functions.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Endocannabinoid System: Pivotal Orchestrator of Obesity and Metabolic Disease
Wilfrid Mazier,Wilfrid Mazier,Nicolas Saucisse,Nicolas Saucisse,Blandine Gatta-Cherifi,Blandine Gatta-Cherifi,Daniela Cota,Daniela Cota +7 more
TL;DR: Newly identified mechanisms of action that, after the withdrawal of first generation cannabinoid type 1 (CB1) receptor antagonists for the treatment of obesity, have made the ECS once again an attractive target for therapy are discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Adult-born neurons immature during learning are necessary for remote memory reconsolidation in rats.
marie lods,Emilie Pacary,Wilfrid Mazier,Fanny Farrugia,Pierre Mortessagne,Nuria Masachs,Vanessa Charrier,Federico Massa,Daniela Cota,Guillaume Ferreira,Djoher Nora Abrous,Sophie Tronel +11 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the role of adult neurogenesis in memory reconsolidation was investigated in rats and it was shown that both mature and immature adult-born neurons are activated by remote memory retrieval.
Journal ArticleDOI
Species-targeted sorting and cultivation of commensal bacteria from the gut microbiome using flow cytometry under anaerobic conditions
Samuel Bellais,Mélanie Nehlich,Maryne Ania,Aurore Duquenoy,Wilfrid Mazier,Gerrit J. van den Engh,Jan Baijer,Nicole Simone Treichel,Thomas Clavel,Ilia Belotserkovsky,Vincent Thomas +10 more
TL;DR: In this article , a BD Influx® cell sorter was equipped with a glovebox that covered the sorting area, which was flushed with nitrogen to deplete oxygen in the enclosure.
Journal ArticleDOI
mTORC1 and CB1 receptor signaling regulate excitatory glutamatergic inputs onto the hypothalamic paraventricular nucleus in response to energy availability.
Wilfrid Mazier,Nicolas Saucisse,Vincent Simon,Astrid Cannich,Giovanni Marsicano,Federico Massa,Daniela Cota,Daniela Cota +7 more
TL;DR: These findings pinpoint the relationship between mTORC1 and endocannabinoid-CB1R signaling in the regulation of the POMC-mediated glutamatergic inputs onto PVN parvocellular neurons and its rapid alteration in conditions favoring the development of obesity.
