Exendin-4 Improves Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease by Regulating Glucose Transporter 4 Expression in ob/ob Mice.
Seok Won Kim,Jaehoon Jung,Hwajin Kim,Rok Won Heo,Chin-ok Yi,Jung Eun Lee,Byeong Tak Jeon,Won Ho Kim,Jong Ryeal Hahm,Gu Seob Roh +9 more
TL;DR: The data suggest that GLP-1 agonists exert a protective effect on hepatic steatosis and fibrosis in obesity and type 2 diabetes.
Journal Article
Involvement of TGF-beta1 signaling in cardiomyocyte differentiation from P19CL6 cells.
TL;DR: Results suggest that TGF-beta1 is involved in cardiomyocyte differentiation by regulating cell cycle progression and cardiac gene expression in an autocrine or paracrine manner.
Journal ArticleDOI
Fenretinide ameliorates insulin resistance and fatty liver in obese mice.
TL;DR: Fenretinide alleviated insulin resistance and fatty liver in obese mice and thus may act as an anti-lipidemic and anti-diabetic drug.
Journal ArticleDOI
Thalidomide destabilizes cyclooxygenase-2 mRNA by inhibiting p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase and cytoplasmic shuttling of HuR.
TL;DR: One of the molecular mechanisms of thalidomide may be destabilization of COX-2 mRNA through inhibition of cytoplasmic shuttling of HuR and p38 MAPK.
Journal Article
Clinical outcomes of metallic stent insertion for obstructive colorectal cancer.
Seung Hyuk Baik,Nam Kyu Kim,Hyung Won Cho,Kang Young Lee,Seung Kook Sohn,Chang Hwan Cho,Tae Il Kim,Won Ho Kim +7 more
TL;DR: Because preoperative self-expandable metallic stent insertion for obstructive colorectal cancer had better postoperative results and shorter hospital days than emergent diverting colostomy, this procedure is a good "bridge to surgery".
