GO6976 prevents TNF-α-induced suppression of adiponectin expression in 3T3-L1 adipocytes: Putative involvement of protein kinase C
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that GO6976 (a selective inhibitor of conventional protein kinase C (PKC) prevents TNF‐α‐induced suppression of adiponectin secretion and expression in fully differentiated 3T3‐L1 adipocytes, accompanied by attenuation of c‐Jun N‐terminal kinase (JNK) activation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Extensive analysis of duplicated-inverted hepatitis B virus integrations in human hepatocellular carcinoma.
Pascal Pineau,Agnès Marchio,Marie Geneviève Mattei,Won Ho Kim,Jung Koo Youn,Pierre Tiollais,Anne Dejean +6 more
TL;DR: An extensive analysis of two single integrations present in HCC which developed in non-cirrhotic livers from HBsAg-positive Korean patients concluded that integrated sequences, rather than activating heterologous promoters, show either no activity or a weak tendency to inhibit activation of neighbouring reporter genes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Prospective evaluation of the clinical utility of interferon-γ assay in the differential diagnosis of intestinal tuberculosis and Crohn's disease.
Beom Jin Kim,Yong Sung Choi,Byung Ik Jang,Young Sook Park,Won Ho Kim,You Sun Kim,Sung Ae Jung,Dong Soo Han,Joo Sung Kim,Jai Hyun Choi,Chang Hwan Choi,Yoon Tae Jeen,Jae Hee Cheon,Byong Duk Ye,Suk Kyun Yang,Young Ho Kim +15 more
TL;DR: The QuantiFERON‐TB gold test (QFT) is a limited but useful diagnostic aid in combination with the TST in the diagnosis of ITB.
Journal ArticleDOI
Advanced Synchronous Adenoma but Not Simple Adenoma Predicts the Future Development of Metachronous Neoplasia in Patients With Resected Colorectal Cancer
Chang Mo Moon,Jae Hee Cheon,Eunhee Choi,Eun Soo Kim,Jae Jun Park,Song Yi Han,Duk Hwan Kim,Tae Il Kim,Won Ho Kim +8 more
TL;DR: It was shown that patients with advanced synchronous adenoma at baseline were identified to have an increased risk of advanced metachronous neoplasia during a longer follow-up period but those with tubular adenomas without advanced features at baselinewere not.
Journal ArticleDOI
Clinical outcomes and factors related to colonic perforations in patients receiving self-expandable metal stent insertion for malignant colorectal obstruction.
Yoo Jin Lee,Yoo Jin Lee,Jin Young Yoon,Jae Jun Park,Soo Jung Park,Jie Hyun Kim,Young Hoon Youn,Tae Il Kim,Hyojin Park,Won Ho Kim,Jae Hee Cheon +10 more
TL;DR: Older age and sigmoid colonic location were significantly associated with occurrence of early perforation, whereas flexure location and absence of peritoneal carcinomatosis were related to delayed perforations.
