Journal ArticleDOI
Degradation of sulfamethazine by biochar-supported bimetallic oxide/persulfate system in natural water: Performance and reaction mechanism.
Fanzhi Qin,Peng Yijiao,Ge Song,Fang Qingxuan,Rongzhong Wang,Chen Zhang,Guangming Zeng,Danlian Huang,Cui Lai,Yaoyu Zhou,Xiaofei Tan,Min Cheng,Shiyu Liu +12 more
TL;DR: Considering the outstanding actual water application performances and the weak biotoxicity, FeMgO/BC shows a promising potential in the removal of antibiotics under actual water conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Facile synthesis of Cu(II) impregnated biochar with enhanced adsorption activity for the removal of doxycycline hydrochloride from water.
Liu Su,Weihua Xu,Yunguo Liu,Xiaofei Tan,Guangming Zeng,Xin Li,Jie Liang,Zan Zhou,Yan Zhili,Xiaoxi Cai +9 more
TL;DR: The experimental results suggest that the adsorption efficiency of DOX is dominated by the strong complexation, electrostatic interactions between DOX molecules and the Cu-BC samples, which hold the significant potential for enhancing the effectiveness to remove DOX from water.
Journal ArticleDOI
Catalytic degradation of estrogen by persulfate activated with iron-doped graphitic biochar: Process variables effects and matrix effects
Peng Zhang,Xiaofei Tan,Shaobo Liu,Yunguo Liu,Guangming Zeng,Shujing Ye,Yin Zhihong,Xinjiang Hu,Ni Liu +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, a novel iron-doped graphitic biochar (Fe@GBC) was applied to activate persulfate (PS) for the degradation of 17β-estradiol (E2).
Journal ArticleDOI
Cu(II)-influenced adsorption of ciprofloxacin from aqueous solutions by magnetic graphene oxide/nitrilotriacetic acid nanocomposite: Competition and enhancement mechanisms
Meifang Li,Yunguo Liu,Shaobo Liu,Shu Ding,Guangming Zeng,Xinjiang Hu,Xinjiang Hu,Xiaofei Tan,Luhua Jiang,Yan Zhili,Xiaoxi Cai +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, Nitrilotriacetic acid-functionalized magnetic graphene oxide (NDMGO) was developed for the removal of ciprofloxacin (CIP) with and without the presence of Cu(II).
Journal ArticleDOI
Adsorption of Estrogen Contaminants by Graphene Nanomaterials under Natural Organic Matter Preloading: Comparison to Carbon Nanotube, Biochar, and Activated Carbon
Luhua Jiang,Yunguo Liu,Shaobo Liu,Guangming Zeng,Xinjiang Hu,Xi Hu,Zhi Guo,Xiaofei Tan,Lele Wang,Zhibin Wu +9 more
TL;DR: Graphene nanomaterials could be used to removal estrogen contaminants from water as an alternative adsorbent, but if transferred to the environment, they would also adsorb estrogen contaminants, leading to great environmental hazards.
