Journal ArticleDOI
Genetic heterogeneity of the vasculogenic phenotype parallels angiogenesis: Implications for cellular surrogate marker analysis of antiangiogenesis
Yuval Shaked,Francesco Bertolini,Shan Man,Michael S. Rogers,Dave Cervi,Dave Cervi,Thomas J. Foutz,Kimberley Rawn,Daniel Voskas,Daniel Voskas,Daniel J. Dumont,Daniel J. Dumont,Yaacov Ben-David,Yaacov Ben-David,Jack Lawler,Jack Henkin,Jim Huber,Daniel J. Hicklin,Robert J. D'Amato,Robert S. Kerbel,Robert S. Kerbel +20 more
TL;DR: A striking correlation between highly genetically heterogeneous bFGF- or VEGF-induced angiogenesis and intrinsic CEC or CEP levels measured by flow cytometry is shown, among eight different inbred mouse strains.
Journal ArticleDOI
Telomere elongation by hnRNP A1 and a derivative that interacts with telomeric repeats and telomerase
Hélène LaBranche,Sophie Dupuis,Yaacov Ben-David,Maria Rosa Bani,Raymund J. Wellinger,Benoit Chabot +5 more
TL;DR: A1/UP1 is established as the first single-stranded DNA binding protein involved in mammalian telomere biogenesis and suggest possible mechanisms by which UP1 may modulate telomeres length.
Journal ArticleDOI
Optimal biologic dose of metronomic chemotherapy regimens is associated with maximum antiangiogenic activity.
Yuval Shaked,Urban Emmenegger,Urban Emmenegger,Shan Man,Shan Man,Dave Cervi,Dave Cervi,Francesco Bertolini,Francesco Bertolini,Yaacov Ben-David,Yaacov Ben-David,Robert S. Kerbel,Robert S. Kerbel +12 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that CEPs may serve as a pharmacodynamic biomarker to determine the OBD of metronomic chemotherapy regimens, and the advantages of reduced toxicity, increased efficacy in some cases, and ability to combine chemotherapy administered long term with targeted therapies can be compromised.
Journal ArticleDOI
Friend virus-induced erythroleukemia and the multistage nature of cancer.
Journal ArticleDOI
The A1 and A1B proteins of heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoparticles modulate 5' splice site selection in vivo.
TL;DR: In vivo variations in hnRNP A1 protein levels can influence 5'SS selection, and transiently expressing the A1 or A1B cDNA in CB3C7 cells shifted 5' SS selection toward the more distal 9S donor site.
