Journal ArticleDOI

Serological evidence of MERS-CoV and HKU8-related CoV co-infection in Kenyan camels.

TL;DR: It is reported for the first time that only a small proportion of MERS-CoV receptor-binding domain positive (RBD) of spike protein positive camel sera in Kenya were also seropositive to MSPV nucleocapsid (NP), raising the possibility of the circulation of a recombinant coronavirus virus with the spike of MESV and the NP in Kenya.
Journal ArticleDOI

Novel hepacivirus in Asian house shrew, China.

TL;DR: A highly diverse group of hepaciviruses discovered in the Asian house shrews captured in Shenzhen city, China are named as Suncus murinus hepacvirus (SmHCV), suggesting that these mammals play an important role as a reservoir for viruses.
Journal ArticleDOI

Prevalence of Wēnzhōu virus in small mammals in Yunnan Province, China.

TL;DR: Whole genome sequence analysis of five selected viral strains showed that these viruses are closely related to WENVs discovered in Asia and form an independent branch in the phylogenetic tree in the WENV clade.

Identification of a novel lineage bat SARS-related coronaviruses that use bat ACE2 receptor

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors reported the identification of a novel lineage of SARS-CoV-2 related viruses, including RaTG15 and seven other viruses, from bats at the same location where they found RaTG13 in 2015.
