Alterations of the human gut microbiome in liver cirrhosis
Nan Qin,Fengling Yang,Ang Li,Edi Prifti,Yanfei Chen,Li Shao,Jing Guo,Jian Yao,Lingjiao Wu,Jiawei Zhou,Ni Shujun,Lin Liu,Nicolas Pons,Jean-Michel Batto,Sean Kennedy,Pierre Leonard,Chunhui Yuan,Wenchao Ding,Yuanting Chen,Xinjun Hu,Beiwen Zheng,Guirong Qian,Wei Xu,S. Dusko Ehrlich,Shu-Sen Zheng,Lanjuan Li +25 more
TL;DR: The gut microbiome in liver cirrhosis is characterized by comparing 98 patients and 83 healthy control individuals and on the basis of only 15 biomarkers, a highly accurate patient discrimination index is created and validated on an independent cohort, suggesting microbiota-targeted biomarkers may be a powerful tool for diagnosis of different diseases.
Journal ArticleDOI
Epidemiological, clinical and virological characteristics of 74 cases of coronavirus-infected disease 2019 (COVID-19) with gastrointestinal symptoms.
Xi Jin,Jiangshan Lian,Jianhua Hu,Jianguo Gao,Lin Zheng,Yimin Zhang,Shaorui Hao,Hongyu Jia,Huan Cai,Xiaoli Zhang,Guodong Yu,Kaijin Xu,Xiaoyan Wang,Jueqing Gu,Shanyan Zhang,Chanyuan Ye,Ciliang Jin,Yingfeng Lu,Xia Yu,Xiaopeng Yu,Jianrong Huang,Kangli Xu,Qin Ni,Chengbo Yu,Biao Zhu,Yongtao Li,Jun Liu,Hong Zhao,Xuan Zhang,Liang Yu,Yongzheng Guo,Junwei Su,Jingjing Tao,Guanjing Lang,Xiaoxin Wu,Wenrui Wu,Ting-Ting Qv,Dairong Xiang,Ping Yi,Ding Shi,Yanfei Chen,Yue Ren,Yunqing Qiu,Lanjuan Li,Jifang Sheng,Yida Yang +45 more
TL;DR: Attention to patients with COVID-19 with non-classic symptoms should increase to protect health providers, and sequence mutation of SARS-CoV-2 with m6A methylation and changed binding capacity with ACE2 was showed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Characterization of fecal microbial communities in patients with liver cirrhosis
Yanfei Chen,Fengling Yang,Haifeng Lu,Baohong Wang,Yunbo Chen,Dajiang Lei,Yuezhu Wang,Baoli Zhu,Lanjuan Li +8 more
TL;DR: Fecal microbial communities are distinct in patients with cirrhosis compared with healthy individuals, and the prevalence of potentially pathogenic bacteria, such as Enterobacteriaceae and Streptococcaceae, with the reduction of beneficial populations such as Lachnospiraceae in Patients with Cirrhosis may affect prognosis.
Journal ArticleDOI
A Deep Learning System to Screen Novel Coronavirus Disease 2019 Pneumonia.
Xiaowei Xu,Xiangao Jiang,Chunlian Ma,Peng Du,Xukun Li,Shuangzhi Lv,Liang Yu,Qin Ni,Yanfei Chen,Junwei Su,Guanjing Lang,Yongtao Li,Hong Zhao,Jun Liu,Kaijin Xu,Lingxiang Ruan,Jifang Sheng,Yunqing Qiu,Wei Wu,Tingbo Liang,Lanjuan Li +20 more
TL;DR: The deep learning models established in this study were effective for the early screening of COVID-19 patients and were demonstrated to be a promising supplementary diagnostic method for frontline clinical doctors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Deep Learning System to Screen Coronavirus Disease 2019 Pneumonia.
Xiaowei Xu,Xiangao Jiang,Chunlian Ma,Peng Du,Xukun Li,Shuangzhi Lv,Liang Yu,Yanfei Chen,Junwei Su,Guanjing Lang,Yongtao Li,Hong Zhao,Kaijin Xu,Lingxiang Ruan,Wei Wu +14 more
TL;DR: Wang et al. as mentioned in this paper used a 3-dimensional deep learning model to segment COVID-19 pneumonia from healthy cases with pulmonary CT images and calculated the infection type and total confidence score of this CT case with Noisy-or Bayesian function.
