Effects of Land-Use and Climate Change on Hydrological Processes in the Upstream of Huai River, China
Peng Shi,Peng Shi,Xinxin Ma,Yuanbing Hou,Qiongfang Li,Zhicai Zhang,Simin Qu,Chao Chen,Tao Cai,Xiuqin Fang +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used the Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT), a physically based distributed hydrologic model, to assess the impact of land use and climate changes separately.
Journal ArticleDOI
The impact of land use and land cover changes on soil moisture and hydraulic conductivity along the karst hillslopes of southwest China
TL;DR: In this article, the soil moisture contents (SMC) and hydraulic conductivities (K) along four karst hillslopes were measured in situ by time domain reflectometry and the Guelph Permeameter, respectively, at test plots, each of which has a different vegetative cover, landform, land surface slope, soil property and content of rock fragment.
Journal ArticleDOI
Spatial Distribution and Temporal Trends in Precipitation Concentration Indices for the Southwest China
TL;DR: Wang et al. as discussed by the authors investigated the trends of annual precipitation and explored the changes of two indices: the precipitation concentration index (PCI) and the concentration index(CI) which are designed for measuring seasonality and daily heterogeneity, respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI
Land use interacts with changes in catchment hydrology to generate chronic nitrate pollution in karst waters and strong seasonality in excess nitrate export
Fu-Jun Yue,Fu-Jun Yue,Susan Waldron,Si-Liang Li,Zhong-Jun Wang,Jie Zeng,Sen Xu,Zhicai Zhang,David M. Oliver +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors deployed sensor technology at five sites to generate autonomously high-resolution time series of discharge and NO3−−N in a farmed karst catchment in Southwestern China.
Journal ArticleDOI
Spatial distribution and temporal trends in daily and monthly precipitation concentration indices in the upper reaches of the Huai River, China
TL;DR: In this paper, the spatial and temporal patterns of precipitation concentration in the upper reaches of the Huai River, China, were investigated using two indices: the precipitation concentration index (PCI) and the concentration index(CI) for measuring seasonality and daily heterogeneity using monthly and daily precipitation series, respectively.
