TL;DR: The enantiomers of D‐ and L‐tryptophan were separated by capillary electrophoresis, using α‐cyclodextrin as a chiral active component in the background electrolyte to achieve quantitative analysis of (‐) and (+) epinephrine in commercial pharmaceutical solutions of adrenaline.
Abstract: The enantiomers of D- and L-tryptophan were separated by capillary electrophoresis, using alpha-cyclodextrin as a chiral active component in the background electrolyte. The separation of (-) and (+) epinephrine was achieved by supplementing the background electrolyte with Heptakis (2,6-di-O-methyl-beta-cyclodextrin). As a practical application of the method, the quantitative analysis of (-) and (+) enantiomers in commercial pharmaceutical solutions of adrenaline is shown.

TL;DR: In this paper, the standard Gibbs energies of ion transfer from water to 1,2-dichloroethane have been evaluated from voltammetric measurements at the interface between two immiscible electrolyte solutions for a series of univalent ions (in kJ mol−1): H+ (53), Li+ (57), Na+(57), Cl− (51), Br− (43), and I− (33).

TL;DR: A revision of the genera Myxobolus and Myxosoma is presented and those which were previously homonyms or synonyms have been assigned new names where valid.
Abstract: A revision of the genera Myxobolus and Myxosoma is presented. On the basis of Lom & Noble (1984), all species are designated as Myxobolus. A total of 444 species of Myxobolus, including three subspecies, are listed together with their hosts. All former Myxosoma species are assigned to the genus Myxobolus and those which were previously homonyms or synonyms have been assigned new names where valid. Synonyms and other species omitted from the definitive Myxobolus list are also given.

TL;DR: By connecting synthetic polymeric chains via oligopeptide bridges, it is possible to regulate the molecular weight as well as the biodegradability of the carrier molecule and influences other biological properties, e.g., elimination from the organism, rate of pinocytic uptake and biological activity.
