TL;DR: A new family of distributions called the extended odd Lomax family of distribution is introduced by adding two extra shape parameters and one scale parameter and the results show that the distributions adequately describe the datasets.
Abstract: The Lomax distribution has a wide range of applications. Due to this, it has had many extensions to render it more flexible and useful to model real world data. In this study, a new family of distributions called the extended odd Lomax family of distributions is introduced by adding two extra shape parameters and one scale parameter. We derived several statistical properties of the new family of distributions. The parameters of the family of distributions are estimated by the use of maximum likelihood method and the consistency of the estimators investigated via Monte Carlo simulations. The usefulness and flexibility of the new family of distributions are illustrated by the use of two real datasets. The results show that the distributions adequately describe the datasets.

TL;DR: In this article, a forensic image related vision-based research method for color lighting is presented, which is used to detect falsification of digital images is one of the most critical analytical practices in the present time.
Abstract: Nowadays, digital images may be simply changed by victimization superior computers, subtle photo-editing, tricks package, etc. These changes will impact picture validity, from law, politics, the media, and industry. Detecting falsification of digital images is one of the most critical analytical practices in the present time. Altering the digital image will, in general, disrupt those underlying vision-based regularities that occur due to environment, lens, and sensor, and this initiative introduces new forensic image related vision-based research method for color lighting.

TL;DR: In this article, a new radical third root functional equation and its solution in the domain of positive real numbers is proposed and validated in modular and β-homogeneous spaces pertinent to Ulam stability theory.
Abstract: In this paper, we propose a new radical third root functional equation and determine its solution in the domain of positive real numbers. Also, we validate the stability of this equation in modular and β-homogenous spaces pertinent to Ulam stability theory. We provide few counter-examples to invalidate the stability results for singular cases. A simple occurrence of this equation in real-life application is also presented.

TL;DR: Ali et al. as discussed by the authors investigated the student attitude and awareness toward the issue of plagiarism and found that plagiarism can lead to many problems such as, reduce the level of thinking, creativity, and productivity.
Abstract: Plagiarism has become a major problem in higher education institutions in recent years. With the advancement of modern means of publishing, the students and researchers can easily access information from various online sources, which has resulted in the act of stealing others works without referencing or without proper referencing, poor quotation, invented data, imitation, cheating and many other form of academic misconduct. Literature shows that many of the students in higher educational institutions are not very much aware about the process of research and writing. This misconception sometimes leads to plagarise academic work without knowing the seriousness of doing so. This is often due to a lack of awareness and research skills among students and researchers. This crime can lead to many problems such as, reduce the level of thinking, creativity Original Research Article Ali et al.; AJEBA, 20(2): 21-31, 2020; Article no.AJEBA.62617 22 and productivity because students do not prepare it by themselves and they do not work hard for it. The objective of this study is to investigate the student’s attitude and awareness toward the issue of plagiarism. This study was conducted at Business Department in University of Technology and Applied Science, (Ibra College of Technology) Sultanate of Oman during the academic year 201920.

TL;DR: In this article, necessary and sufficient conditions for the validity of a generalized dynamic Hardy-type inequality with higher-order derivatives with two different weighted functions on time scales were established, and some applications to their main result were added to conclude some continuous results known in the literature and some other discrete results which are essentially new.
Abstract: In this paper, we establish some necessary and sufficient conditions for the validity of a generalized dynamic Hardy-type inequality with higher-order derivatives with two different weighted functions on time scales. The corresponding continuous and discrete cases are captured when $\mathbb{T=R}$ and $\mathbb{T=N}$ , respectively. Finally, some applications to our main result are added to conclude some continuous results known in the literature and some other discrete results which are essentially new.
