TL;DR: It is suggested interventional programs based on motor skill competence and perceived motor competence should be administered or implemented to promote physical activity in young girls.
Abstract: The main purpose of this study was to determine which correlate, perceived motor competence or motor skill competence, best predicts girls' physical activity behavior.A sample of 352 girls (mean age=8.7, SD=0.3 yr) participated in this study. To assess motor skill competence and perceived motor competence, each child completed the Test of Gross Motor Development-2 and Physical Ability sub-scale of Marsh's Self-Description Questionnaire. Children's physical activity was assessed by the Physical Activity Questionnaire for Older Children. Multiple linear regression model was used to determine whether perceived motor competence or motor skill competence best predicts moderate-to-vigorous self-report physical activity.Multiple regression analysis indicated that motor skill competence and perceived motor competence predicted 21% variance in physical activity (R(2)=0.21, F=48.9, P=0.001), and motor skill competence (R(2)=0.15, ᵝ=0.33, P= 0.001) resulted in more variance than perceived motor competence (R(2)=0.06, ᵝ=0.25, P=0.001) in physical activity. Results revealed motor skill competence had more influence in comparison with perceived motor competence on physical activity level. We suggest interventional programs based on motor skill competence and perceived motor competence should be administered or implemented to promote physical activity in young girls.

TL;DR: Considering the increasing positive effect of extract of Fennel on serum concentration of FSH and decreaseing LH and Testosterone in rats with PCOS, this compound might be considered for treatment of the patients.
Abstract: Background: Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare) has estrogenic, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects and traditionally used for treatment of infertile women. Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) is the most common endocrine disorder in women, which affects 5-10% of them in their reproductive age. This study has examined the effects of hydroalcoholic extract of Fennel on female Wistar rats with PCOS. Materials and Methods: In this experimental study, 30 rats (200 ± 20 gr), was injected 2 ml of estradiol valerate subcutaneously and 6 rats were considered as control(intact). After 60 days, the rats were divided into control, sham and experimental groups. Rats in experimental group were treated with 250, 500, 1000(mg/kg BW) of intraperitoneal injections extract of Fennel for 10 days. Serum FSH, LH and Testosterone were measured by ELISA and serum levels of these hormones between treatments all groups were compared using One-Way ANOVA at a significance level of p< 0.05. Results: The data suggests that extract of Fennel can increase serum concentrations of FSH and decrease LH and Testosterone in treatment groups. As FSH is 500 and 1000 mg/kg levels of doses, LH and Testosterone in dose 1000 mg/kg have shown statistically significant differences compared to control groups. Conclusion: Considering the increasing positive effect of extract of Fennel on serum concentration of FSH and decreaseing LH and Testosterone in rats with PCOS, this compound might be considered for treatment of the patients.

TL;DR: In this article, the tridentate and tetradentate Schiff base ligands were synthesized and characterized by physico-chemical and spectroscopic methods, and the crystal structures of the complexes were determined by X-ray crystallography.
Abstract: New complexes of cobalt(III) with the tridentate and tetradentate Schiff base ligands: 3-methoxy-2-{(Z)[(2-hydroxyphenyl)imino]methyl}phenol (H2L1), 4-[(2-hydroxyphenyl)imino]-2-pentanone (H2L2); and 2-((E)-1-(2-((E)-1-(2-hydroxy-4,5-dimethylphenyl)ethylideneamino)ethylimino)ethyl)-4,5 dimethylphenol (H2L3), namely [CoIII(L1)(N-MeIm)3]PF6 (1), [CoIII(L1)(py)3]ClO4 (2), [Co(L1)(py)3][Co(L1)2] (3) and [CoIII(L2)(N-MeIm)3]PF6 (4) and [Co(L3)(N-MeIm)2]PF6 (5), were synthesized and characterized by physico-chemical and spectroscopic methods. The crystal structures of the complexes were determined by X-ray crystallography. In each of these complexes, the cobalt(III) centre has a slightly distorted octahedral environment, utilizing all available coordination centres of the ligands. The complexes were also screened for in vitro antibacterial activities against four human pathogenic bacteria, and their minimum inhibitory concentrations indicated good antibacterial activities.

TL;DR: In this paper, the capacitated lot sizing and scheduling problem with sequence-dependent setups, setup carryover, and backlogging has been studied, and a genetic algorithm was developed to solve this problem.
Abstract: In this paper the capacitated lot sizing and scheduling problem with sequence-dependent setups, setup carryover, and backlogging has been studied. The problem can be formulated as a mixed-integer program. Most lot sizing problems are hard to solve, especially in medium and large scale. In recent years, to deal with the complexity and find optimal or near-optimal results in reasonable computational time, a growing number of researchers have employed metaheuristic approaches to lot sizing problems. One of the most popular metaheuristics is genetic algorithm which has been applied to different optimization problems successfully. Therefore, we have developed a genetic algorithm to solve this model. To test the accuracy of the genetic algorithm, a lower bound is developed and compared against the genetic algorithm. In computational experiments, proposed genetic algorithm performed extremely well. It is concluded that the genetic algorithm is efficient and effective for this problem.
