TL;DR: The conformational preferences of cyclosophoroheptadecaose (Cys-A), which is a member of a class of cyclic (1→2)-β-D-glucan, were characterized by molecular dynamics simulations and excellent agreement was found between experimental data and corresponding values predicted by molecular modeling.
Abstract: The conformational preferences of cyclosophoroheptadecaose (Cys-A), which is a member of a class of cyclic (1→2)-β-D-glucan, were characterized by molecular dynamics simulations. Simulated annealing and constant temperature molecular dynamics simulations were performed on the Cys-A. The simulations produced various types of compact and asymmetrical conformations of Cys-A. Excellent agreement was found between experimental data and corresponding values predicted by molecular modeling. Most glycosidic linkages were concentrated in the lowest energy region of φ-ψ energy map, and the values of radius of gyration (RG) and the nuclear Overhauser effect (NOE) distance data derived from our simulations were finely consistent with the reported experimental values. This result will also give novel insights for the molecular complexation mechanism of Cys-A with various guest chemicals.

TL;DR: In this article, a system for extracting relations between technical terms within a large amount of literature information using verb-based patterns is presented, which is capable of extracting relations based on verbbased patterns from abstract and bibliography databases in all fields of science and technology using a Tech Association Mining Appliance.
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a system structure for extracting relations between technical terms within a large amount of literature information using verb-based patterns. The present invention provides a system that is capable of extracting relations based on verb-based patterns from abstract and bibliography databases in all fields of science and technology using a Tech Association Mining Appliance (TAMA) capable of detecting the technical terms of text and relations therebetween in academic literature databases in the fields of science and technology. The present invention has an advantage of providing a practical relation extraction system structure using a number of academic databases.

TL;DR: The middleware based on the multi-agents is described and consequently data interoperation from e-government grid system through the integration of legacy systems is shown to reduce cost and time, as well as easily builds the cooperating environments on government’s legacy systems.
Abstract: In this paper, we present e-government grid system to provide the seamless services to the public The main goal of e-government systems is to promote the accessibility of government’s information created by the various processing among the public sectors The needs of sharing data and processes from the legacy systems are currently increased However, it is difficult to convert the interoperable infrastructure from distributed and independent legacy systems in governments Further, it requires more cost, labor and times to gain the advantages from the legacy In this paper, we suggest the grid based integrated environments to use the distributed legacy systems in ease, as to solve the issued problems The grid environments consist of a set of grid-middleware that connects to database and systems The grid-middleware should be light-weight and flexible to guarantee the integrity of the independent legacy systems Therefore we describe the middleware based on the multi-agents and consequently show data interoperation from e-government grid system through the integration of legacy systems It is expected to reduce cost and time, as well as easily builds the cooperating environments on government’s legacy systems

TL;DR: Two measurements which extract and categorize semantic terms from texts of tweets based on a dictionary of emotional terms are proposed which aggregate crowd mood quantitatively and qualitatively in a large-scale urban area through Twitter.
Abstract: In this paper, we measure crowd mood and investigate its spatio-temporal distributions in a large-scale urban area through Twitter. In order to exploit tweets as a source to survey crowd mind, we propose two measurements which extract and categorize semantic terms from texts of tweets based on a dictionary of emotional terms. In particular, we focus on how to aggregate crowd mood quantitatively and qualitatively. n the experiment, the proposed methods are applied to a large tweets dataset collected for an urban area in Japan. From the daily tweets, we were able to observe interesting temporal changes in crowd’s positive and negative moods and also identified major downtown areas where crowd’s emotional tweets are intensively found. In this preliminary work, we confirme the diversity of urban areas in terms of crowd moods which are observed from the crowd-sourced lifelogs on Twitter.
