TL;DR: A method for analyzing the devise-usage patterns in semi-real time based on the big-data system architecture and a segmentation-based analysis and recommendation framework to make recommendations based not only on his or her own usage patterns, but also on the common usage patterns of the users who are living in a similar context.
Abstract: This paper proposes a recommendation system based on big data framework and rule-based system in the era of Internet of Things. With the emergence of the smart devices beginning from smart phones extends to the general electronic devices such as smart tv sets, refrigerators, washing machines, robot vacuums, and so on. Such smart devices make it possible to collect the device-usage logs of end users whereby a system is able to analyze it to find the usage patterns of the end users and make recommendations to the end users. Furthermore, this allows to make recommendations on the individual users since the smart devices have their own identifiers such as MAC address and IPv6 address. The smart devices also have matched information with the end user id/s. In this study, we propose a method for analyzing the devise-usage patterns in semi-real time based on the big-data system architecture. We also present a recommendation framework which makes device-usage recommendations by using a rule-based system architecture with the analyzed usage patterns. Lastly, we introduce a segmentation-based analysis and recommendation framework to make recommendations based not only on his or her own usage patterns, but also on the common usage patterns of the users who are living in a similar context. The segmentation is formed also based on the types of the device usages, so that the analysis can be performed in a batch process thereby enabling to make the recommendations in real time based on the pre-analyzed usage patterns.

TL;DR: In this paper, the results of a search for the rare, purely leptonic decay B- -> mu(n) over bar (mu) performed with a 711 fb(-1) data sample that contains 772 x 10(6) B(B)-over bar pairs, collected near the Upsilon(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e(+)e(-) collider.
Abstract: We report the results of a search for the rare, purely leptonic decay B- -> mu(-)(nu) over bar (mu) performed with a 711 fb(-1) data sample that contains 772 x 10(6) B (B) over bar pairs, collected near the Upsilon(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e(+)e(-) collider. The signal events are selected based on the presence of a high momentum muon and the topology of the rest of the event showing properties of a generic B-meson decay, as well as the missing energy and momentum being consistent with the hypothesis of a neutrino from the signal decay. We find a 2.4 standard deviation excess above background including systematic uncertainties, which corresponds to a branching fraction of B(B- -> mu(-)(nu) over bar (mu)) = (6.46 +/- 2.22 +/- 1.60) x 10(-7) or a frequentist 90% confidence level interval on the B- -> mu(-)(nu) over bar (mu) branching fraction of [2.9, 10.7] x 10(-7).

TL;DR: In this article, measurements characterizing the Underlying Event (UE) associated with hard scatterings at mid-rapidity (|η| 0.15, 0.5, and 1.0 GeV/c) were reported.
Abstract: This article reports measurements characterizing the Underlying Event (UE) associated with hard scatterings at midrapidity (|η| 0.15, 0.5, and 1.0 GeV/c. The charged-particle density in the Transverse region rises steeply for low values of $ {p}_{\mathrm{T}}^{\mathrm{leading}} $ and reaches a plateau. The results confirm the trend that the charged-particle density in the Transverse region shows a stronger increase with $ \sqrt{s} $ than the inclusive charged-particle density at midrapidity. The UE activity is increased by approximately 20% when going from 7 TeV to 13 TeV pp collisions. The plateau in the Transverse region (5 <$ {p}_{\mathrm{T}}^{\mathrm{leading}} $< 40 GeV/c) is further characterized by the probability distribution of its charged-particle multiplicity normalized to its average value (relative transverse activity, R$_{T}$) and the mean transverse momentum as a function of R$_{T}$. Experimental results are compared to model calculations using PYTHIA 8 and EPOS LHC. The overall agreement between models and data is within 30%. These measurements provide new insights on the interplay between hard scatterings and the associated UE in pp collisions.[graphic not available: see fulltext]

TL;DR: In this paper, a measurement of the time-dependent CP asymmetry of B0->D(*)CP h0 decays is reported, where the light neutral hadron h0 is a pi0, eta, or omega meson, and the neutral D meson is reconstructed in the CP eigenstates K+ K-, K0S pi0 or K 0S omega.
Abstract: We report a measurement of the time-dependent CP asymmetry of B0->D(*)CP h0 decays, where the light neutral hadron h0 is a pi0, eta or omega meson, and the neutral D meson is reconstructed in the CP eigenstates K+ K-, K0S pi0 or K0S omega The measurement is performed combining the final data samples collected at the Y(4S) resonance by the BaBar and Belle experiments at the asymmetric-energy B factories PEP-II at SLAC and KEKB at KEK, respectively The data samples contain ( 471 +/- 3 ) x 10^6 BB pairs recorded by the BaBar detector and ( 772 +/- 11 ) x 10^6, BB pairs recorded by the Belle detector We measure the CP asymmetry parameters -eta_f S = +066 +/- 010 (stat) +/- 006 (syst) and C = -002 +/- 007 (stat) +/- 003 (syst) These results correspond to the first observation of CP violation in B0->D(*)CP h0 decays The hypothesis of no mixing-induced CP violation is excluded in these decays at the level of 54 standard deviations
