TL;DR: This study assesses the consistency of the HRD score in multiple biopsies obtained from the same cancer to examine the impact of spatial heterogeneity and sampling on the results.
Abstract: 1091 Background: The HRD score is the sum of three previously described (Abkevich et al, Birkbak et al, Popova et al) metrics that quantitate genomic rearrangements. The HRD score is significantly ...

TL;DR: In this paper, the secondary structure of biologically active peptides and proteins has been mimicking the secondary structures of the helical regions of the peptide and protein structures, and they have been used as diagnostic and therapeutic agents.
Abstract: Compounds which mimic the secondary structure of helical regions of biologically active peptides and proteins having the following structure: including pharmaceutically acceptable salts and stereoisomers thereof, wherein Y, A, B, R 1 and R 2 are as defined herein. Such compounds have utility over a wide range of applications, including use as diagnostic and therapeutic agents. In particular, compounds of this invention, and pharmaceutical compositions containing the same, are neurokinin (tachykinin) antagonists. Libaries contaning the compounds of this invention are also disclosed, as well as methods for screening such libaries identify biologically active members.

TL;DR: The DPD genetic variants of the invention can be used as biomarkers in predicting toxicity to 5-FU and other drugs metabolized by the DPD enzyme as mentioned in this paper, which can result in abnormal synthesis of DPD proteins.
Abstract: Variants in DPYD gene are disclosed which can result in abnormal synthesis of DPD proteins and alteration of DPD activities. The invention provides methods for detecting the newly discovered genetic variants. The DPD genetic variants of the invention can be used as biomarkers in predicting toxicity to 5-FU and other drugs metabolized by the DPD enzyme.
