TL;DR: In this paper, the authors focused on C stocks and fluxes in urban lawns to assess their function in regulating atmospheric air composition, which is an important part of urban ecosystems providing several principal ecological functions, including participation in global carbon cycle.
Abstract: Urbanization results in irreversible transformations of vegetation and soils. Urban lawn is an important part of urban ecosystems, providing several principal ecological functions, including participation in global carbon cycle. Carbon stocks and fluxes in urban lawns are diverse due to the different functional uses (residential, recreational areas, etc.), and different morphogenetic and physico-chemical properties of soil and their components. The research was focused on C stocks and fluxes in urban lawns to assess their function in regulating atmospheric air composition. Soil CO2 emission and CH4 fluxes (summarized for summer period); soil organic C (SOC); below and aboveground biomass were studied. Carbon emission by soil respiration and C sequestration in biomass were considered to estimate C balance.

TL;DR: In this article, Weinreb amides were shown to react with arylacetic acids with N-methoxymethanamine and BnMgCl to give 2-aryl-4-en-1-ols.
Abstract: Reactions of arylacetic acids with N-methoxymethanamine afford corresponding Weinreb amides which at alkenylation with methallyl and prenyl bromides in the presence of (Me3Si)2N–Na+ form unsaturated amides ArCHRCONMe(OMe) (R = CH2CMe=CH2, CH2C=CMe2). Amides readily react with BuLi and BnMgCl to give ketones ArCHRCOR' (R' = Bu, Bn). A stereoselective reduction of the latter with LiBH(s-Bu)3 leads to a quantitative formation of syn-isomers of 2-aryl-4-en-1-ols.

TL;DR: In this paper, the results of the study show that roughness coefficient under pressure hade mode can be determined using Norton equation only for HCSP, Norton and Einstein-Banks equations are corrected for CMP.
Abstract: The research paper is devoted to study of culverts from metal corrugated pipes (CMP) and helically corrugated steel pipes (HCSP). Modern design solutions of culverts from CMP and HCSP are differ as compared with used before (bottom with various types of roughness, inlet and outlet heads, type and size of corrugation) and there is not enough experimental data for their design. The aim of the study is to test CMP and HCSP models to determine their hydraulic parameters, such as roughness and resistance coefficient, critical bias and so on. The laboratory equipment and method of experimental study as well as results of the tests of CMP and HCSP with protective tray at the pipe bottom and without it under different operation modes are given in the research paper. The results of the study show that roughness coefficient under pressure hade mode can be determined using Norton equation only for HCSP, Norton and Einstein-Banks equations are corrected for CMP.

TL;DR: The algorithm for matching and harmonization the results of traction tests of domestic and foreign tractors according to the OECD and ISO systems is described.
Abstract: In this paper authors described the algorithm for matching and harmonization the results of traction tests of domestic and foreign tractors according to the OECD and ISO systems. The results of the calculations are entered into the designed database, which contained 5 information blocks and control block. The control unit allows to implement a number of information requests (in terms of operating mass, maximum traction power, etc.). Information of agricultural tractors tests is contained in this database, test were made in Germany (11 models), France (8 models), Italy (8 models), and Austria, India, South Korea (over 37 models) according to OECD standards, each model tested on 2 type of covering: concrete and stubble.
